The application I chose was Twitter, Twitter was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Noah Glass and was launched in July 2006 in the US. The founders' initial idea was for Twitter to be a kind of "Internet SMS" with the limitation of characters in a cell phone message. Initially called Twttr, the name of the social network, in English, means to chirp. The idea is that the user of the social network is "cheering" through the internet. Since its inception, Twitter has gained extensive notability and popularity across the world. It is sometimes described as the "SMS of the Internet". Jack Dorsey is the current CEO of the company.

Some advantages of the application in my opinion are:

- It has a more dynamic timeline that allows users to enjoy publications and displays multimedia content such as images and videos in a more impactful way.

- It remains number one when it comes to trends and national and global issues, its objectivity maintains a more select and hard user audience.

- The search engine is the most efficient of all social networks.

- The use of hashtags is more relevant and useful than on other networks (Trending Topics), the speed of information is practically instantaneous.

But when it has advantages, it also has disadvantages and some of them are:

- It has a limitation of 140 characters per post, the majority of the audience is young, there are no older people on the platform.

- It does not deliver the results rates that Instagram offers and has a more limited reach than Facebook.

- Ads and sponsored posts are more expensive.

- Does not allow segmenting the audience of interest.

Twitter is one of the social networks I spend the most time on, as it becomes addictive and is where the best content is.

Remembering that even politicians use the application to discuss certain issues.
