Many goals achieved. we now have marking rubrics for Key skills and each assessment has them included. next step is to develop class charts and then really focus classes and evaluate how the explicit focus develops teh learning.
timing of inquiries. each inquiry has a natural life. some are short and some are long. I feel that we should be able to run the natural lenght of the inquiry rather than have an arbitrary time limit.  
This inquiry worked for me because it was specific to a need. I find that the school/board goals often have little relevance to the needs in the subject I need. the best professional learning I have done over the last few years 
i would like a more limited focus to PD . ie one or two goals. i feel we have had too many and the plg goal got lost at times.

Liked Collegiality, liked chance to discuss research, were a very different group with individualized inquiries, feeling like I changed the outcome(s)for a few of this group
Didn't like: short length, need perhaps up to 2 year phase, with good goal posts that the group come up with, changing of meeting dates

There should be a flexibility to be extended for up to two years in order to see results. Start inquiry right at the beginning with some specialist advice so that we are not left floundering or looking like the image at the start of today's powerpoint.

The connection with a student was special and very helpful to almost all students involved (from report-backs). Additionally for me as a teacher I learned a lot of things about how Pasifika students think, their culture, their family's connection with school. I enjoyed attending the talanoa and the Pasifika Awards evening. I learned just how much Pasifika students really appreciate having their teachers at their events, and above all they love teachers watching them at Polyfest.
