The share fair allowed me to see the cross grade expectations and what my students should come into 4th grade knowing. The share fair also allowed me to gain knowledge of different entry points to reach for my students that are struggling. It was evident that a school wide problem was figuring out word problems and persevering through them. Teachers are finding similar themes and trends across the grades. Allowing teachers to leave with resources and commitments to best support their students was extremely pleasing. As a facilitator and teacher walking around it was wonderful to see the conversations teachers were having and sharing ideas and thoughts. My next steps moving forward is using a checklist with pictures for my low readers to help them feel successful with word problems.

The share fair provided me with a menu of entry points that I can use with my students in math . In addition this event provided with me different data collection tools that I can use to differentiate my math instructions . Math checklistst are great tools for me because they help me Collect, Organize , Monitor my students Data and Differentiate my instructions.

I thought the share fair was a great idea! It was nice to talk with teachers in other grades and learn about their problem of practice. I noticed that many of the grades had similar problem of practices, which centered around word problems. As a Kindergarten teacher, I can use this information to help teach the students some strategies now such as, asking "what is the problem asking us to do" or looking to see if we need to use addition or subtraction to solve the problem. In my classroom, I have been working on partnerships during math time, during the share fair, Ms. Malizia gave me a great strategy, 'Say and Scribe' to allow for partners to work together. I already started using the method and have noticed tighter partnerships and more discussion. I will continue to use this method!

I wasn't able to attend but from what I saw everyone prepare was really awesome to share ideas and use each other to help make the school community a better learning environment. I noticed that this supports my practice because I am working on taking effective data and creating process charts that will help the students apply the process. Next steps would be to change the way I take data for more specific goals from the module overview. Ms. Adu/Karragher, Ms.Belton and Ms. Bova gave me charts and ideas for charts to use for my students to remember the process of different strategies
