This year-long fellowship invites young Jewish women, trans teens, and non-binary teens to learn how to apply a Jewish feminist lens to the world, ask powerful questions, deepen their knowledge about social change, and amplify their voices to share their beliefs and express a call to action. Finally, Fellows hone their skills by creating a tangible Capstone project.  

LFT helps high school students develop a strong Jewish identity and trains them as advocates for Israel, and to be voices against antisemitism. 

Bnei Akiva has been in important presence in the Los Angeles Jewish community for the last six decades, helping to plant and nurture the seeds of religious Zionism and support for Israel among both youth and adults.

Shevet Chen has been operating in Los Angeles since the early 80’s and has seen thousands of kids from the Israeli-American community in Los Angeles grow in this vibrant community, take on leadership in the Tzofim, grow with the understanding of responsibility, activism, Zionism and the love for Israel. The emphasis of the program is on social and moral development, and aims to strengthen the bond between Israeli youth living abroad and Israel.

Every year, our pluralistic group of twenty-six Fellows embark on a transformative, deeply personal journey. Inspired by a diverse faculty of Rabbis and educators, Fellows explore the rich tapestry of Jewish texts and ideas, using them to spark conversations, engage with stimulating existential questions, and achieve a deeper understanding of themselves and one another. They also expand their perspectives through intensive encounters with a parallel group of Israeli peers.

Teens in High School are invited to apply to become a volunteer with the Teen Talk App. Teen Advisors complete their volunteer experience remotely, allowing them the flexibility to make a difference volunteering while still managing their other commitments.

Vocal Point:

Join your peers and Jewish educators to gain the skills and confidence you need to talk publicly about the things you care about the most. Vocal Point is an exciting online leadership development opportunity to learn new tools for speaking publicly on issues you are most passionate about. This is a two-part program. First, we will prepare you to use your voice to engage in discussion across differences of background, opinion, and perspective, both on a specific topic that interests you, and more broadly. Then, we will give you the opportunity to apply your skillset within the issue area of your choice.

Ruchot means “winds” in Hebrew (like “winds of change”). This seminar is designed for high school students who want to change the world. We’ll teach you to start organizing your community to act on issues such as climate justice, reproductive rights, access to education, poverty, and more. 

First-place winners in Levels 1 and 2 will each be awarded $1,800. The following five winners in each level will receive an award of $500 each.

Volunteers are at the heart of our efforts to safeguard seniors’ health and enhance their quality of life. As a Los Angeles Jewish Health volunteer, your partnership is priceless, helping elderly men and women throughout our community fill their days with meaning and joy.

We welcome your volunteer assistance and are so grateful for the caring and dedication you bring. On days you dedicate two hours or more, we invite you to join us for lunch, but no matter how much time you can give, we deeply appreciate your ongoing support and spiritual needs.

Our gatherings, led by Rabbi Li-Paz and our Teen Director, offer a wide range of experiences encompassing the celebration of Jewish holidays, Shabbat, Social Action, cooking traditional Jewish foods, Israeli dancing, and engaging discussions on Jewish values. Our teens will further bond through fun activities such as bowling, Dave & Busters, Sky High, retreats and more.

Our Teen and Intergenerational Program convenes twice a month—once exclusively for teens and once bringing together teens and their senior partners.

The Promise aims to ignite a surge in Jewish pride that will equip the Jewish youth, ages 13 to 24, with the confidence to contribute to a strong Jewish future.

We combine the wisdom, strength, and support inherent in Jewish tradition, with a clinically sophisticated, evidence-based model.

By doing so, BaMidbar provides the framework for Jewish teens and young adults to navigate life’s challenges, find their voice and agency, and rediscover their capacity for a brighter tomorrow.

The fellowship emphasizes community building and organizing principles, empowering participant to explore their passions, engage in hands-on experiences, and make a difference in areas they are most passionate about.

Join our international, multi-cultural community of thriving young professionals; our unique Career Development programs; Leadership-building training and access to Israel’s ecosystem.

They hire counselors ages 16 and older and receive transportation.

Fellows will apply the lessons of the past to the present to counter division and hate in their schools, communities, and on social media. Together we will remember humanity at its worst to inspire humanity to be its best until “never again” is a reality, once and for all.
