Essential Question: Does one's environment really determine whether we are born 'bad' or are molded to be 'bad'?
Revised Question: Does one's environment really determine if a society is healthy like Durkheim showed in his book 'Suicide'? Or is it that some people are just born 'bad' and not molded to be the way they are?
Reflection: The main topic of this question is asking if the environment we reside in truly affect the way we are or how society sees us whether it's good or bad. Or is it that some people are born 'bad' or are perceived as 'bad' under society's standards.
Extension: I could take this question further by digging deeper into Durkheim's research by reading his book and analyzing his ideas compared to others who ask themselves the same question if we are born evil or not,

Essential Question: In most places around the world, over time culture evolves, but in other parts of the world, elements of culture stay the same for centuries. What stops them from letting go and evolving?
Revised Question: In all places around the world, over time culture evolves, but in other parts of the world, elements of culture stay the same for centuries. What stops those areas around the world from letting go and evolving?
Reflection: The main topic of this question is asking why it's so hard for some areas around the world from evolving and finally letting go of their old fashioned ways which have been part of their culture for centuries.
Extension: I could take this question further by exploring deeper into the areas these cultures reside in and see which nations support them and which don't. That way I could ask the question if they posses the resources to evolve and grow from their old ways.

Essential Question: Does power and influence go hand in hand because most people of power that are placed there are seen as "influential" or "wise"?
Revised Question: Definition of Power and Influence- an entity or individual's ability to control or direct others, while authority is influence that is predicated on perceived legitimacy. EQ: Does power and influence go hand in hand because most people of power that are placed there are seen as "influential" or "wise"?
Reflection: The main topic of this question is asking if power and influence have the same goal when it comes to politics in different areas of life where one group/person try to lead people by getting them to accept the way they see the world and the way they think things should be done.
Extension: I could take this further by researching people in places of power and seeing their strategy in how they took over a place of power and see if what they are doing is both just using their power (resources) to get to where they want to go or do they use their influence (morals and methods) to get people to get behind him/her.

Essential Question: Why is it frowned upon for women to have sexual intercourse before marriage and not for men who have premarital sex?
Revised Question: Definition of sexuality and double standard- a person's capacity for sexual feelings. The concept that prohibits premarital sexual intercourse for women but allows it for men. EQ: Why is it frowned upon for women to have sexual intercourse before marriage and not for men who have premarital sex?
Reflection: The main topic of this question is questioning the reasoning behind why society sees it fine for men to have premarital sex and why not see the same for women to have premarital sex.
Extension: I could take this further by researching different cultures to see when they see fit for women to start having sexual intercourse and also to see if it's okay for women in their cultures to have premarital sex.
