Armenia is a small beautiful city located in Quindio, in the Coffee region in Colombia. It is near Pereira and it is about 2 hours from Manizales. There are beautiful towns in Quindio, for example, Salento, Filandia, Buenavista and others. Quindio is a veryu touristic place for the lanscapes, theifriendly people and delicious coffee. Before the earthquake in Armenia there weren't many green areas. There weren't many buidings and the city was not very famous. Today there are many touristic places in Armenia to visit for example lively cafés, quiet viewpoints, and historic places and museums. A few year ago there were many problems about safety,drugs. There was a terrible war in the 80s and 90s

Despite this, the city and its people tried to make the city better by building neighboorhoods, and its metro, focusing on education and culture.

From December to January is very touristic because People celebrate the Carnival of negros y blancos.

Before, there weren’t many modern buildings and there wasn’t a famous city In Pasto

Now the city is big and there are more constructions.

there wasn't a beach in Barranquilla , there weren't many buildings, there weren't many shopping centers, there weren't many parks and playground.
