-During the year, the seasons change depending on the amount of sunlight reaching the Earth as it revolves around the Sun.
-The seasons are caused as the Earth, tilted on its axis, travels in a circle around the Sun each year.
-The hemisphere that is tilted towards the Sun is warmer because sunlight travels more directly to the Earth’s surface. This means the hemisphere away from the sun is experiencing colder temperatures.
-The seasons Fall and Spring have equinoxes, meaning that the side facing the sun is experiencing equal light throughout.

-The Earth is at four main points during its orbit.
-During Summer in the Northern Hemisphere, the Earth is tilted towards the sun.
-During Spring, the Earth's equator is pointing directly at the Sun.
-During Winter, the Northern Hemisphere is pointed away from the Sun.
-During Fall, the Earth's equator is pointing directly at the Sun.
-When rays of sun beam down at Earth at a steep angle, more heat will be felt by us on Earth.
When rays of sun beam down at a flatter angle, the cooler it will be.
-The rays of sun are more direct for the hemisphere pointing at the Sun, which causes the temperature difference between the seasons.

-During the Earth's rotation, half of the planet will be directed towards the Sun, and the other half will be facing away from the Sun.
-This is what explains the change between night and day.
