Reason:
The invention of paper has revolutionize how humans work, study, and behave as a soceity. Since the industrial revolution in the 18th century new technologies and machines began to emerge, thus the production of paper skyrocket many times than it was before. Nowadays, paper can be seen and used everywhere for everyone. However, this comes with a consequence which is the environment. Paper is made primarily with trees, and in order to fullfil the needs of the consumers/people, companies need to cut down the trees. In America alone approximently 2 million trees are cut down each year and 50 million papers wasted as garbage. This shows that the paper industry contributes to both global warming and pontential loss of habitats. Which is why, we came up with the idea of making eco-friendly paper. Our paper is different because it will be made from waste, specifically, corn husk. In Indonesia corns are one of the most produced commodities and based on research the waste of corn husk can be produced into paper. We oversaw the potential of this opportunity and hence created MARP.

Business Idea: An application with an online currency that is earned when users deliver their garbage to us, where we sort it, and sell it to recycling companies for profit. Remaining waste that can still be used will be made into other products.

Reason: A lot of trash that are “recycled” are not actually recycled because they need to be sorted which takes time and effort. Not only that, but other forms of cryptocurrency are actually harmful to the environment because of the amount  of energy and electricity that they use.
