Medical tests – Laboratory studies can spread out other diseases and deficiencies in hormones or vitamins that may be associated with cognitive changes.     

 Brain imaging – Computed tomography or MRI can detect brain shrinkage or any abnormalities to find out other possible causes of dementia or movement symptoms.
