         <description><![CDATA[<div>Colour: Braque has simplified his colour palette to mainly monochromatic tones, which helps move the artwork closer to abstraction, as the lack of different colours makes it more difficult to differentiate between the different forms in the work. This is a typical of Cubism works.<br><br>Light: Braque has used different shades of dark and light, with the top half of the painting tending to be a lot lighter than the bottom half. Shadows can be seen within the work, especially in the lower section, which suggests the presence of 3 dimensional form.<br><br></div>]]></description>
