A Window moment for me is the whole concept of an Indian reservation because I don’t think I’ve even met someone from or around a reservation. Another shock to me is how the reservation is full of poor outcasted people almost like segregation (Page 13).

The greatest mirror window for me was the fact that Rowdy was upset with Junior when Junior decided to go to Reardan (Pink 52-53). When I was in elementary school I had two friends who stoped talking to each other because one was going to move away that summer and the one who wasn't moving was mad. My biggest window moment was getting to see how bad conditions on these reservations can be, I always thought that reservations were not bad at all but this book made me think a lot differently about Indian reservations (Pink 173).

Mirror: On page 45, Junior decided that he wanted to transfer schools, as in go to Reardan, which reminded me as when Olathe west was open, and the boundaries changed. I knew that i always wanted to go to ONW, but now, i was changed to going to ON, thats when i filled my transfer to go to ONW, somewhere where all my friends that i grew up with werent going, just like was Junior did. He and i Branched off from the directed route we were put on to go away from .

Window: On Page 13, when Junior lost his dog, i think that gave him kind of a step to do everything else he did in the book, like he got courage from that, or more like he got courage to make his dog proud. I couldn't fathom losing my dog, especially having him euthanized. He is my rock and he helps me get through each day and i feel sympathy for junior that he lost his dog so early in his junior to become different.

In this section of the book Rowdy and Junior are having a basket ball game where they show there rivalries, and Junior feels he must defeat Rowdy. This is a mirror moment for me because I have had rivalries and awkward relationships between friends like Junior, and I felt like I understood what he was going through.

The biggest window moment for me was on 216.
