USRAH 1 : ADAB AND QURAN OF THE BOOK OF GUIDANCE 📖📍

In this usrah session, I learned about the importance of knowledge for global leaders and the Qur’an as the main book of guidance. Knowledge helps leaders make wise decisions and guide others with fairness and unity. From an Islamic perspective, receiving guidance other than from the Qur’an and Hadith may mislead us and weaken our faith. Therefore, holding firmly to the Qur’an and Sunnah keeps us on the right path and closer to Allah SWT.

There are several keys of adab which are:

              • Correct intention

              • Respect

              • Be of service

              • Good company

              • Good habit

              • Du’a

The Qur’an contains the words revealed directly by Allah to Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It is an eternal source of guidance, free from the limits of space and time.

USRAH 1 : BULLYING CASES 🧌🪨

Why We Must Never Bully? 🫨

Bullying is never acceptable. In Islam, it is considered zulm (oppression), and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that a true Muslim is one from whose tongue and hands others are safe. Hurting others, whether physically or emotionally is a sin and an injustice.

Bullying also destroys the victim’s mental and emotional health. Many victims feel anxious, traumatized, and lose confidence in themselves. In extreme cases, like Zara Qairina’s tragedy, bullying can even cost a life. Furthermore, when schools normalize bullying, especially the so-called “tradition” of seniors bullying juniors, it creates a toxic cycle where cruelty replaces leadership, and fear replaces respect. This culture must end.

How to Handle Both Sides (Zara’s Case Context)

Victim (Zara & others like her):

	•	Provide immediate emotional and psychological support through school counsellors and trusted adults, so no student suffers in silence as Zara did.

	•	Create safe, confidential reporting channels in schools to ensure victims feel protected and heard.

	•	Empower students through peer-support networks and confidence-building activities, so they know they are not alone.

Bully (the accused students):

	•	Approach them with corrective counselling, not just punishment, to understand why the bullying happened.

	•	Investigate underlying factors such as peer pressure, family issues, or emotional struggles that may have shaped their behaviour.

	•	Promote empathy, accountability, and character development so that young offenders can change and not repeat the cycle of harm.

What I Want to Change (Learning from Zara’s Case)

The tragic death of Zara Qairina exposed the culture of silence and inaction in our schools. Too often, victims hesitate to report bullying, and authorities only act when cases go viral.

From this case, I would like to see:

	•	Mandatory anti-bullying programs in every school, so awareness begins early.

	•	Visible “Report Bullying” posters in classrooms, corridors, and canteens, with channels like aduanbuli.moe.gov.my printed on school materials.

	•	Swift and transparent action by school authorities, no more waiting for public outrage before addressing a case.

This is not just about Zara; it is about ensuring that no other student becomes the next Zara. A safe school must be built on justice, empathy, and accountability. As Muslims, we believe in Qiyamah (the Day of Judgment), where every deed will be accounted for. Fairness must begin here and now.

https://www.bernama.com/en/news.php?id=2458546&utm_source=

USRAH 1 : THE CHARACTER OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (SAW) AS THE BEST EXAMPLE 💗🌸

The character of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is often described as the best example (uswatun hasanah) for all of humanity, as mentioned in the Qur’an (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:21). His personality combined spiritual devotion, noble manners, leadership, and compassion in a way that no other leader has ever matched. Here are some key aspects of his character:

1. Truthfulness and Trustworthiness (Al-Siddiq & Al-Amin) 👤

Even before prophethood, he was known as Al-Amin (the trustworthy) and Al-Siddiq (the truthful). People trusted him with their belongings, and he never broke a promise. His honesty built the foundation of his credibility as the Messenger of Allah.

2. Compassion and Mercy 🪽

The Prophet ﷺ was extremely gentle and merciful, not only to his family and companions but also to children, the poor, animals, and even enemies. Allah described him as “a mercy to the worlds” (21:107).

3. Patience and Forgiveness 🌱

He faced insults, persecution, and rejection, but responded with patience and dignity. At the conquest of Makkah, instead of seeking revenge, he forgave those who had once tortured his companions and fought against him.

4. Humility and Simplicity 🌾

Despite being the leader of the Muslim Ummah, he lived simply mending his own clothes, eating modest meals, and sitting among his companions as one of them. He never sought luxury or status.

5. Justice and Fairness 🌙

He upheld justice without favoritism. Whether dealing with Muslims or non-Muslims, rich or poor, family or strangers, he ensured fairness and equality.

6. Dedication to Worship 💎

He devoted his nights to prayer, supplication, and remembrance of Allah. His closeness to Allah inspired his companions to strengthen their own faith and spirituality.

The idea that even the Earth will testify about the deeds of humans emphasizes that nothing; no action, no word, no intention, goes unnoticed by Allah. It makes the concept of accountability deeply personal and real.

What I love most is how it combines awe with reflection: it’s a reminder to live consciously, to do good, and to understand that the world itself is a witness to our actions. It turns the abstract idea of Judgement Day into something tangible and immediate.

USRAH 1 : FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA, PALESTINE WILL BE FREE 🇵🇸🍉

The Palestinian struggle has been ongoing since the First Nakba in 1948. Until today, although they have not yet reclaimed their land, the help of Allah has been evident in countless ways. Extraordinary events, both in Palestine and globally, remind us that true victory lies only in Allah’s hands. If He willed, it could happen instantly. Yet, in His perfect wisdom, Allah, Al-‘Alim (The All-Knowing), knows the right time for everything to unfold.

This truth becomes clearer when we reflect on His attribute of Al-Qadir (The All-Powerful). Despite the severe imbalance of military strength, the resilience and steadfastness of the Palestinian people show that true power does not lie in weapons or numbers, but in faith and reliance on Allah. Their courage is a living testimony that Allah grants honour and strength to those who hold firmly to Him.

At the same time, the ongoing movement highlights Allah’s attribute of Al-Latif (The Most Gentle). Even in the midst of hardship, He grants subtle forms of mercy: the awakening of global solidarity, the exposure of truth despite propaganda, and the hearts of people worldwide being guided to Islam. These are not coincidences, but gentle reminders that Allah’s mercy reaches even in the darkest of times.

Since October 7, these events also reveal Allah’s attribute of Al-Haqq (The Absolute Truth), as falsehood cannot veil reality forever, and Al-Hakim (The All-Wise), who allows matters to unfold at the most perfect time. What may seem like a delay in justice is, in fact, part of His greater plan awakening the world, strengthening the believers, and preparing for a victory that is certain.

Victory has already been promised. The real question is: will we strive alongside them, or will we remain silent and close our eyes?

FREE FREE PALESTINE !

Character: Moana (Disney’s Moana) 🌸

I am most drawn to Moana because of her courage, determination, and strong sense of responsibility. She shows that true leadership is not about power, but about serving and protecting her people. Even when faced with fear and uncertainty, she follows her heart and trusts her values. Her journey reflects important principles in life: perseverance, bravery, and sincerity.

From an Islamic perspective, Moana also reminds me of the concept of amanah (trust). Just as she took responsibility for the safety of her people, as Muslims we are entrusted by Allah to protect what is right, stand firm in truth, and not give up even in hardship. Her bravery inspires me to step out of my comfort zone, believe in myself, and strive sincerely for a greater purpose.

The main focus of the session was to get to know each other and build a sense of connection within our group. We introduced ourselves, shared a little about our backgrounds, and learned about each member’s interests. To make the session more interactive and fun, we also played a few games and participated in some group activities, which helped us bond and feel more comfortable with one another. Overall, it was a welcoming and engaging start to our usrah journey. 🌷💗

Our group Cherish Circle is preparing to present our topic ‘Mindfulness in Ibadah’. We’re discussing and planning how to divide our parts because each of us will present using mahjong paper. Everyone has their role one person introduces, another explains the elements, someone shares current issues, another shows the steps to practice, and the last one talks about the benefits. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!

I still can’t believe that our last session together. Over the past weeks, we’ve shared so many moments laughing, learning, supporting each other, and creating memories that I will always treasure. Each discussion, each little joke, and every piece of advice has meant so much to me. I’m truly grateful to have had the chance to grow alongside such wonderful friends. Although this chapter is ending, I hope our paths cross again, and I will always carry the warmth and lessons of our time together in my heart. 💗💗💗

USRAH 2 : REFLECTION IMPROVEMENT IN USRAH

In this usrah class, our Naqibah begins each session with istighfar, and selawat is recited when calling someone’s name before they stand. After each presentation, a Q&A session is held where members share their confusions and opinions, which helps deepen understanding.

I learned a lot from these sessions. To further improve the usrah, more interactive activities and additional time for personal sharing can be included to strengthen bonding. Rotating leadership roles or inviting guest speakers may also bring fresh perspectives. The last session was especially meaningful with a potluck and a secret sahabah gift exchange, which I truly enjoyed.

USRAH 2 : MY COLLABORATION IN USRAH ACTIVITIES

I actively collaborated with my group members throughout the usrah sessions by participating in wudu’ simulations (Amali Wudhu), reading the Al-Quran together, and reciting daily supplications before and after each session. I also contributed by asking and answering questions, as well as listening attentively to reflections and reminders shared by others.

Through group games, the Secret Sahabah activity, and artwork discussions, I was able to build stronger friendships and teamwork. I shared ideas, helped organize and present group artworks, and actively joined Islamic discussions. Attending every usrah session consistently and participating in the Kiar Talk program further strengthened teamwork, mutual respect, and spiritual bonding among usrah members.
