Sir Hugo Baskerville was a notorious squire and member of the Baskerville family who was the owner of Baskerville HallWhen the girl escaped, Hugo pursued her, swearing a curse upon himself in his mad rage. Hugo's companions later found the girl dead of fear, and Hugo killed by a demonic hound. The dog is said to have haunted Dartmoor ever since, causing the premature deaths of many Baskervilles.

Sir Charles Baskerville is uncle to Sir Henry Baskerville and Jack Stapleton. He was the master of Baskerville Hall prior to his untimely death, which occurred while fleeing from the hound. He was friends with Dr. James Mortimer.

Dr Watson is the good doctor and the sidekick to Holmes' self-obsessed hero figure. Watson is a lowly apprentice and live-in friend. Watson is the one who escorts sir Henry to the estate. Which Sherlock insisted on not going. and Watson is always undermined by Sherlock.
