Aunt Alexandra comes to live with them.
Many of the people in Maycomb have married there cousins.
Atticus wants Jem and Scout tp act like a lady and gentleman.

Aunt Alexandra is very bossy and wants to control how Scout and Jem act. On page 133, Atticus tells Jem and Scout "She asked me to tell you you must try to behave like the little lady and gentleman that you". Aunt Alexandra had many morals and viewed manners very important. On page 129 it says "boarding-school manners; let any moral come along and she would uphold it". Aunt Alexandra wants Jem and Scout to act more like a lady and gentlemen and wants Atticus to let her teach them.
