         <description><![CDATA[<div>The 1920's were seen as the Jazz Age. With Radio up and coming, people didn't have to leave their houses to hear Jazz Music. Many female singers emerged singing Jazz in the 1920's, getting women more rights, and better gender equality. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Radio Shows</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There were many different popular radio shows that would broadcast from all over America. One was called a "Potter Palm," which broadcasted from New York and Chicago and was a big-band jazz performance. Another radio show that broadcasted from Chicago would broadcast opera six days a week. When the season for opera ended, the radio show switched to broadcast sports teams, weather, classical music, etc. </div>]]></description>

African American's wanted to get away from the stereotypes previously set for them by the whites.
