South View Head start play: The very hungry caterpillar.

This was the beginning of my educational journey. To be accepted into this specific program, I had to pass a series of tests. These tests revealed that i was particularly advanced for my age. Thus leading to me completing the reading for this play.

Elementary school: Park hill Elementary School

I completed kindergarten and first grade at this school. In maryland, school was able to started earlier for myself. Same for the next elementary school. Sc was going to deny me to attend school but was forced to accept me because I already began school.

Elementary school: Falkland Elementary school

This was where I completed 2nd and 3rd grade. They are located in greenville NC. This school made me not want anything to do with education as I grew. The school was strict and stagnant. The teachers were very boring and did not help me grow as a student.

Elementary school: Ocean Bay Elementary

At this school, I completed 4th and 5th grade. This school completely changed the way I viewed myself and my education. 3 teachers specifically helped me change how I thought and fought for me to succeed. Their names are Mrs.Capps, Mr. McNaughton, and Mrs.Jolly. These three teachers truly showed me dedication and a choice in changing a child's life.

Middle and High school: CFHS and TOMS

The rest of my early education was at the newest middle school (ten oaks). And a very common high school (carolina forest). CFHS was the first moment I considered teaching. I knew from freshman year, I would either do culinary or teach english. My favorite teacher, Mrs. Schneider, changed my view on english for the rest of life. Mr. Philon was my 2nd teacher for my senior year. These two teachers love english with a passion and are like the genderbent versions of one another. Education felt like home and my true desire in life once I finished these two classes.

Final Thoughts and Reflection

Teaching was not always my passion. Finding great teachers is hard, but to be truly touched in your soul by the content and deliverer is incredible. Mrs. Schneider from CFHS will always be the number one person to encourage me to follow my dreams. Her style, her willingness and most importantly her intelligence makes me want to teach. Being herself while teaching influences me each day. To be the best version of myself and to create a love for english in new people. From my past experiences, I understand what type of teacher I want to be. I understand that I want education to be fun. Learning is done through a variety of ways and if you teach in a way that is appealing, you will impact hundreds, if not thousands, every time you teach.

Girl scouts Troop 289 & 150

Girl scouts is a big part of my education. Without the two troops I was a part of, I wouldnt have been the person I've become. 289 showed me how to meet new people and gain the proper leadership skills. While 150 showed me how to roll with the punches and gain more street knowledge. Without this support, the knowledge I gained would've been harder to grasp.
