Le texte présente la création de l'espace-temps d'une journée réelle dans l'espace-temps imaginaire de la pièce qui se répète en boucle et qui a la potentialité de prendre place dans l'espace-temps réel d'une scène théâtrale.
Le texte fait beaucoup travailler l'imaginaire, ce qui permet aux lecteurs et spectateurs des âges différents de percevoir la pièce de manières différentes, en fonction de leur expérience de lecteur et spectateur.
Pas sûre s'il faut la garder dans la sélection de cette année, puisque elle faisait partie de la sélection de l'année dernière et nous avons fait plusieurs podcasts autour d'elle qui sont toujours disponibles. La fin, où Mary demande pardon à Victor, sa créature à elle, qui est son monstre personnel, est très intéressante, mais m'a perdue dans la trame de l'histoire. J'avais eu l'impression que la pièce se base sur la biographie de Mary Shelley à l'époque où elle a écrit Frankenstein ou Le Prométhée moderne. À la fin de la pièce elle parle de son mari disparu, alors qu'il n'est mort que 4 ans après la publication du roman. On a l'impression que c'est sa relation avec son mari qui l'a poussée à écrire Frankenstein, alors que c'était une compétition d'histoires épouvantes proposée par Byron.

Le sujet m'a rappelé le film Jumanji, où ce ne sont pas les livres qui créent les aventures, mais un jeu de table.
La trame rappelle pas mal le développement d'un jeu vidéo avec plusieurs niveaux à épreuves différentes, ce qui fait sourire quand on a lu le dialogue à la fin du livre, où les livres sont comparés à des jeux vidéos.

C'est rare.  
Pour ce qui est des 4 éléments, je suis un peu incertaine. C'est davantage la présence de la nature par le biais des couleurs... La charge imaginaire de la couleur rouge est ainsi très riche. Question: est-ce que s'y mêlent tous les éléments? Sang = chez Bachelard EAU + FEU de la vie et FEU de la mort.
