Many of the walls put together with no gaps in between. This would be an example of ancient wisdom because it's hard to explain how the inhabitants placed such huge stones/bricks with the accuracy that they did. It's believed that the inhabitants of Easter Island are a combination of Polynesians and South Americans. If that is the case then it would explain the similarities of statues and constructions found on Easter Island to statues and constructions in South America and Polynesians islands. There have also be similarities made in between certain Japaneses structures and Egyptian. Each of the 900 statues stand at about 4 meters tall have all be carved from volcanic rock found on the island. The general theory is that the status where carved by the inhabitants for religious reasons, the specific reasons being mainly unknown. This is an example of simplicity because we are simply saying that the islander must of build the statues for religious religions when the real reason could of been something like a big calendar. After all some of the statues are astrological lined up with certain celestial bodies during certain times of the year. Based on oral traditions it is said that the statues "walked" when they moved to their locations. This as caused people to believe that the statues were moved standing up. One of the moving techniques did indeed manage to move the statue in a standing position. Ideology is the reason of belief in this case; we believe that the statues where moved standing up due to oral traditions. Oral traditions are not reliable sources of information because they slowly change over time and/or completely lose there meaning. Based on some oral traditions, it is said that the royalty of the island had red hair and pale skin. This would be an example of unexplained and ideology. The ideology aspect is because certain believe this without any other evidence other than the oral tradition. Only certain of the Moai appear to have been buried or possibly sank into the ground. This is an example of unexplained because we do not know why over half of the body has been buried.  This is an example of patternicity because these ancient carvings could be of anything. This is an example of ideology because it was their belief in their god that drove them to swim across shark filled waters to reach a small island to collect the bird eggs from.
