Malcolm X born on May 19, 1925, in Omaha, Nebraska, as Malcolm Little. Throughout his adult life he was a minister, human rights activist, and a Black nationalist leader who was a speaker of the Islam Nation. He stood for the notion of race pride and Black nationalism between the 50's - 60's. Know for the words "by any means necessary," and believed in using violence when needed and other forms of protest to fight for equality and the ending of racism. Malcolm X left the organization he was in with the Nation of Islam in 1964 and made pilgrimage to Mecca. In February 21, 1965, he was assassinated by a member of the Nation of Islam before speaking to a rally about his organization.

People supporting Civil Rights were being attacked for just speaking for what they believe in.This violated the first amendment. It became a great loss and Malcolm even thought it wasn't worth it to act peacefully and still have a loss with no change so he thought acting violently would get the solution he and so many others longed for. He wanted change and he wanted to get it "by any means necessary."
