Today I learned much more about listening skills and differentiation.In the classroom I prefer using both authentic and non-authentic listening materials.Because non-authentic ones are easy for teachers to use and authentic ones are funnier.I think we should benefit from both of them.
Developing more active listening skills can be appropriate and useful in our classrooms.When our learners are aware of what they do and how they do they will be more eager to understand listening materials.There should be a particular purpose to listen and then they can focus on the point.If we can attract our learners' attention before listening activity ıt may be easier to end our activity in a successful way.We can ask simple questions ,think about our students' levels ,make them feel confident and set a goal to motivate them to be active listeners in the classroom atmosphere.

The most common problems in my district related to teaching speaking are those that my students want to speak but they are afraid of being mistakes that's why as teachers we shouldn't interrupt or correct them immediately.We should monitor and give them another chance to self correct.Also my students are not good at using the new language rather than target one.So we can encourage and make them feel confident.The other problem in my district is that we have crowded classrooms that's why I have to arrange preparation time well, give them opportunities to motivate each other and thinking time.I can use 4 3 2 minutes technique or maybe I can use some activities like Paperslide or Flipgrid .As a result we should be a model to our students but meanwhile we must allow our students to be a model too.

Before reading activity I would choose a video related to a global warming and want them to watch it.After that ,I'd ask how they feel and what problems cause the global warming or what is the video about.
As a "while part" I want them to read the text again and then underline the words that they don't know ang guess their meaning, learn them.I would prepare True/False questions for my weaker students and open ended questions for my stronger ones like these;
1.Humans have caused these problems. T/F
2.The planet is heating up fast. T/F
3.Eartquake is the effect of this.T/F
4.Earth's climate hasn't changed. T/F

1.What is global warming?
2.What are the reasons of global warming?
3.What are the results of it?

Also ,I would prepare some pictures or definitions and write some words(Vocabulary), want them to match them with the words.
As a "post activity" I would give them homework preparing poster,making slogans about global warming and its effects or want them using some digital platforms as "Paperslide,Chatterpix,Flipgrid and etc.I can give reading activity from breakingnews.com as a homework at home too.Using different types of tasks to make sure we practise all the sub skills is the most useful reading activity to solve common problems in teaching reading according to my context.
My colleagues or PDC teachers can use like these methods for common problems in teaching reading as well.

Product and snack would be the most useful approach in my local context.Because my students can write short,small writings as an individual or group, but they can not focus on accuracy or analysing a text or replicate it.However they are succesful at peer correction while they are redfafting their writing.
I think my colleagues would be most interested in writing approaches " product-process-snack" They are both collaborative or individual.And also they don't have to correct all their writing mistakes they should only focus on some smelling mistakes or some mistakes about grammar maybe.Our aim is to achieve the best product possible.

PPP teaching may be seen easier way of teaching grammar activities and mostly used in our classes in my area.However Guided Discovery is much more useful than PPP.(Presenting,Practicing,Producing)
According to 21st century abilities and new technology,our classrooms should be oriented by student led and inductive activities.Our students can discover rules by using freer activities.(less controlled ones)
However PPP is easier to apply and time saving in our classes for weakers ones but it requires more preparation.On the other hand teaching grammar by impliciting is for stronger ones.
To me, CCQ (concept checking questions) and Guided Discovery should be prioritised.
Because we check that our learners understood the grammar points or not.(comprehension part)As teachers we can use guided activities,controller activities,freer activities or combination of all.I recommend my colleagues using these activities according to their students' levels.
I want to discuss with my colleagues in my pdc meeting that ; "teacher centered learning" or "student centered learning" Which one are they using and which is more useful in their classrooms?Which grammar methods are they using to teach grammar activity? B ecause our learners need to discover the grammar rules inductively.Activities should based on freer activities and it should be led by students.

Being in PDC for teachers of English is an advantage for us.Because we learn common problems of our area and try to find solutions together.Being in PDC is collaborative and useful for us.Maybe we have similar problems , we share our experiences or ideas and then we can do better together, support each other.Learning new ideas ,collaboration, sharing, teamwork are good effects of PDC.We can encourage our colleagues and apply some techniques we have experienced in our classrooms.
I plan to benefit from;
https://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.com/
to tell for what purpose can they use this website While they were preparing some worksheets or handouts for their classes and also they can use this website for exams or any additional activities they want to do in theirr classroom.
https://www.educaplay.com/typesofactivities/
https://jeopardylabs.com//
https://theteachertoolkit.com/
https://breakingnewsenglish.com/
These websites are useful and easy to use in our classrooms for additional activities,teaching four skills by playing games or reviewing some sub-skills.I am planning to benefit from these networks throughout the training in a PDC of my area.
Both in our guide and trainee's pack there are clear instructions for us so I expect getting benefit from these programmes and plan my PDC's according to this.And also I hope we'll have some online meetings with our mentors and they will assist and lead us about planning and conducting PDC's.
When I go to my local area, I will try to talk or meet with my co-ordinator and then it's possible to deal with problems and find easy solutions for me.
