One event that my classmates and I found interesting was the "Stress-free Zone" As we got to learn how to make stress balls out of recycled materials. We also got to personalise our own stress balls to whichever aesthetic we like. This activity was not only fun but we could also get to work together and bring home the stress ball. It also allowed for our classmates to bond with one another, strengthening our relationships with one another. Hence, we found this activity effective and interesting.

We also found that the stress balls we made were also beneficial as we used it to relax and reduce stress during our end-of-year examinations. Not only that, but we also felt more calm and at ease. We also got to learn about work-life balance and how to plan our time efficiently, so that we can relax, study and have better time management. We got to learn about signs of depression and dementia and how to aid those suffering from them. For example, my grandmother has dementia and after this programme I learnt how to take better care of her and how to communicate better with her. We also got to learn simple breathing exercises, taught by the instructors. For example, I utilised this during my math exam when I blanked out, and it help me to regain focus and think properly. Therefore, we benefitted from this activity.

One event that me and my classmates found interesting is the crafting activity under the 'stress-free zone'. It teaches us how to make our own stress ball. This craft workshop also teaches you how to release stress in other forms. I remember once, I bought a stress ball from a shop because I thought it was a fun toy. Turns out, I used it a lot because I was very stressed during my examination period. Therefore, I think this activity is beneficial for us as it allows us to create and use our stress balls at little to no cost! It will reduce our stress levels, which can result into better sleep and more focus for the next day. This kickstarts a better lifestyle. Furthermore, we can learn how to manage our emotions and we can learn basic crafting skills. Thus, I think my classmates and me will find this activity interesting.

My friends and I paid the 'Stress-free zone' a visit. We've got the opportunity to learn many new things regarding stress relief, for example, learning about the importance of work life balance, which i did not think was that important before visiting this area. Also, we learnt to recognise and manage depression and dementia. You don't get an opportunity to learn about something like that everyday, do you? This is also really important as all of us are having examinations, and everyone is stressed, but not all knows how to cope with it. The station will give the perfect guide on how to exactly cope with stress, perfect for us students! After all that, we even got to craft our very own stress ball. I appreciate how detailed they've designed this zone, and the information that they have provided for us, and also helps us improve on our mental health. Thus, we really find this interesting.

One of the activities that me and my classmates found interesting and engaging were the stress-free zone. At the stress free zone an experience and highly qualified therapist gave us a talk on how to better manage between our school work and personal life. On top of that, she also taught us the symptoms of depression and dementia. She gave us tips on how to deal with these mental illnesses.

For example, she taught us breathing exercises and visualise a calm environment to help manage the sudden wave of emotions caused by depression. We learnt how to spot people with dementia and how to help them cope with their dementia episode. After this session, I was able to better understand the needs of my grandfather who has dementia. One of the tips that we learnt is to put nametags on family members with dementia to make it easier for people to guide them. After learning these tips we participated in an engaging hands-on craft. We got to personalise our very own stress ball. This fidget can help us relax and calm our emotions down. For example, sometimes when we revise for our exams we can get easily stressed and agitated, therefore this stress ball can help us vent our all our frustrations and worries.

One activity that had my class scrambling to get a taste of was a craft workshop of making our own stress ball! Since our generation has reached a pivotal moment in our lives, where we are starting to prepare for our national exams in Secondary 4, we immediately headed for the stress-free zone, since most of us have been stressed this year, especially during our examination season. There was a presentation about how we could better manage our time, and learn how to have a balance between studies and games. Additionally, they gave us a Kahoot quiz on how to relieve stress and how to manage depression and dementia. For a group of students who have only been sitting at our desks listening to boring lessons on google slides, the Kahoot, which was a stark contrast to how we usually learn new things, immediately piqued our interests to this activity. After the workshop, we not only had more knowledge of how to manage our stress, we also had a stress toy to help us relax!

Through the experience at the stress-free zone, we learnt about the different ways we could deal with stress or anxiety, like using a stress toy to calm ourselves down, take a break or even try a new engaging and fun way to learn, as well as keep our stress levels at bay. This is beneficial as it is nearing our examinations, and using this information on how to manage stress and depression, I'm certain that we will be able to study well with this new information and excel in our studies.

During the roadshow, there were a lot of different activities that were available for us to participate in. One of the activities was a free course that taught us how to manage our work with our life better. The course mainly consisted of a panel of people sharing their experiences and giving advice based off how we are coping with our stress, helping us to learn how to manage our stress better to be able to not let it affect our lives. When my classmates and I sat down there to participate in the audience interaction segment of the panel, I was randomly picked to share my experience with my work related stress, and how it affected my life. I told my story about how my school work load was really affecting me mentally, making me too busy to focus on anything else. After I shared, the panel gave me some helpful suggestions to help me cope with my work and help me manage my time better. They told me to set a designated time to start on work and an end time to finish said work, and to try and complete all of it within the time limit. By doing this, I would be able to have sufficient rest within the day and still be able to complete my work. After the panel, I went to reflect and try out the advice the panel members gave me, and as it turns out, it really was helpful! Since then, I was able to complete my work on time and there wasn't a constant pile of work sitting on my table anymore. My classmates also realized the change that they went through when following that piece of advice as well, noticing how much more rest they got at night without the constant reminder of having unfinished work!

The stress ball we made does not only help us manage our emotions, it also puts a test to our creative minds during the making process! We were able to design our unique stress ball which was also indeed relaxing throughout the process. Furthermore, we learnt valuable knowledge about the importance of worklife balance, which we gained tips on how to manage our own school life on a normal basis. This was really beneficial to me as I always struggle to juggle between my work and other commitments. A game on how to identify the signs of depression and dementia helped us realised that some signs that might not seem obvious is still something to take note of! This taught us to be more aware of the people around us and how we can simply help them overcome this by lending a listening ear.

At the Healthy Lifestyle Roadshow, me and my classmates attended a talk on how to recognise and manage depression and dementia. There were experts at the roadshow teaching us signs of depression such as loss in appetite, fatigue and loss of interest in activities. They also taught us how to spot the early signs of dementia in the elderly. Besides that, they told us ways to manage depression and dementia. For depression, seeking therapy and mindfulness exercises may help but as for dementia its better to let the doctors decide whats best for the patient but memory games can help. I found the talk very insightful as my grandma was recently diagnosed with dementia and through this talk i learned ways to help her and i empathise better with her now. I would definitely suggest that people struggling or know someone with depression or dementia to attend this talk as it can greatly help them learn how to manage it and prevent it early on.

The event that me and my classmate went to was the ‘Stress-free Zone’ during the event we were taught on how to better balance work and life as sometimes we subconsciously prioritise work more than our actual lives so this was a good skill that I learnt from the event. We also learned how to spot if someone or ourselves had signs of depression or dementia and learned ways to manage them accordingly. I think that everyone should learn about signs of depression and how to spot it easier as of today manage people take their own lives due to depression. It’s always good to have the ability to spot depression in case someone you know has depression you are able to spot it and try to get them the help they need before they do anything reckless and end their own life. Nearing the end of the event you also get to create your very own stress ball. Stress balls help to release one stress and emotions, for example if you are feeling angry and you feel like doing something rash you could use the stress ball to take out your anger on it so you would feel better and not make any decisions you would regret later on. Making your own stress ball would also help you build up creative and patience, you can get craetive on how to make your own stress ball and design it however way you want to. If its taking a very long time to make but u end up still doing it without any problems this means that you were patient throughout the entire process and managed to do it diligently without any problems .

One thing that my classmates and I found interesting was learning how to balance our work-life. We have never had such conversations regarding this topic nor have we known much about it. It was an eye opening experience as we were able to grasp loads of information from it. We were taught with strategies on how we can manage our time well or better. We were also able to learn how to manage our work. For example, deciding on which work to complete first. The organisers also emphasised the importance of the life outside of work or study. Spending time with family and friends or simply taking a day off is not a waste of time. At the same time, they also advised to be aware of how long we spend our free time. This is because we may fell into the trap of procrastinating. Another activity was making our own stress ball. It was highly engaging and informative. While we were making the craft, the organisers also elaborated on how this stress ball can be used effectively. Moreover, we also helped each other design the ball making the environment more enjoyable and inclusive. They explained that when we are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, just hold on to the ball before taking any actions. This is because we may end up doing something we might regret later in life under the influence of our feelings. My classmates and I find the idea of having a stress ball really creative. Not only we are able to manage our feelings better, we build a connection that words cannot describe.

We went to the 'Stress-free Zone' where we had the opportunity to enquire how to handle both work and life without getting overwhelmed. We also made our own stress balls, which was quite a fun activity as it required very less brainpower. This event indeed has many benefits. With exams coming up, there is a lot of stress among our classmates, and we learnt that to deal with stress is to not overthink about the exam. Through this, my classmates and I were able to relax more, and found the motivation to do our revision, where we scored extremely well for our exams. I still have the stress ball with me, and my other classmates still do too. We use the stress ball to reduce our stress levels, where it's like stress being 'transferred' to the ball.

one event that my classmate and i found interesting was the stress-free zone. in this activity, we can learn on how to balance our work life. balancing our work responsibilities with personal time also means we have to manage our time wisely. this includes setting some boundaries, like not checking work emails after office hours or making sure you don’t work overtime too often. for example, you could finish work by 6 p.m. so that you are able to spend dinner with your family or relax. we can also learn to spot the signs of depression and dementia and manage them effectively. recognising these symptoms allows us to take action, seek help, and provide comfort to those suffering from these. managing these conditions with patience and understanding can also improve the well-being of both the person affected and those supporting them. additionally, we will also be making our own stress ball! this simple DIY project not only helps us relax but also gives us a useful tool to manage stress and anxiety in everyday life. it’s a creative way to learn about stress relief while making something you can use anytime you feel anxious or need a break. personally, all these activities have benefitted me and my classmates by helping us better understand our mental health and how to take care of our emotional well-being. we’ve learned how to recognise signs of depression and dementia, how to manage stress in healthy ways, and how to support ourselves and others. overall, these experiences have made us more aware and more prepared to handle challenges in both school and daily life.

one event that me and my classmates found interesting is the crafting activity under the 'stress-free zone'. It teaches us how to make our own stress ball. This craft workshop also teaches you how to release stress in other forms. I remember making a toy during DNT lesson in sec 2 which allowed me to destress and get more creative .Furthermore, this a great opportunity for me to be innovative while providing a way for me to maintain my stress levels. Therefore, I think this activity is beneficial for us as it allows us to create and use our stress balls at little to no cost. It will reduce our stress levels, which can result into better sleep and more focus for the next day. This is a chain reaction that only gets better everyday! Furthermore, we can learn how to manage our emotions and we can learn basic crafting skills. Thus, I think my classmates and i will find this activity interesting.

To add on, we gained knowledge of how to balance or work-life which can easily benefit us in the future when me and my classmates move on to the workforce. Moreover, this event aids us in learning how to identify and manage depression dementia. This event has benefitted my class and I as we found that the stress ball helped us to relax and destress from our challenges in life since our exams were upcoming. Moreover, by having knowledge of balancing our work-life and how to manage and recognise depression and dementia, we can avoid becoming lost in our jobs that we become unsure how or when to make time for our own self like personal hobbies or quality time with our loved ones, on top of juggling all the stress and responsibilities from our job which can easily lead to burn out and depression.

serene and Yasmin

our class definitely appreciated the activities that were conducted. As many of us have been bombarded by many responsibilities, such as cca roles, leadership roles, homework and out of school activities. many of us started to develop unhealthy coping mechanisms in order to deal with our stress, some of us have become numb as a result of overloading work, thinking that it is normal. the stress free zone taught us the signs of stress in our daily livesand educated us on the importance of a work life balance and the effects of stress on the body. we also learnt how we could destress after a stressful school day. we also learnt on how we can manage our stress and feelings in a more healthier way as well as recognising our needs. thus being able to reach out for help when we need it. when me and my friends participated in the stress ball making activity, we learnt how to make easy stress balls for us to channel our stress too when needed. this activity really taught me that relieving stress is actually very easy and accessible. my friends also enjoyed spending time together going for this event and also strengthened our friendship

The event that my classmates and I found interesting was the crafting session of the 'Stress-free Zone' section of the roadshow. We learned how to create our very own stress ball to help us if we are feeling anxious or pressured. The instructors taught us how to maintain equilibrium between work and life. They advised us to spend more time with our family while balancing school activities. They also made sure we were aware about the significant effects of depression and dementia. The instructors informed us about how we could identify if we are facing those issues and how we should seek for help. During the whole activity, the instructors were polite and understanding of the situations of some of the classmates which made them very approachable. One of the words the instructors said still stuck to my mind, which was 'Don't stress yourself out thinking about the problems of tomorrow'. This zone cleared our minds of things we were stressed of and made us more appreciative of the present.

One event my classmates and I found interesting was the stress-free zone. They invited 12 young adults aged from 21 to 25 years old who had has graduate university to share about how they balance the busy life but still maintaining efficiency at work . They gave us advice on how to manage our time by prioritising doing what is more urgent. They also shared on their experiences, which gave me a better understanding. After their sharing there was also a networking session where we could approach and consult them privately by asking questions on their work life. Professional psychologists where also invited to share on how to recognise and manage depression and dementia. They gave tips like how to detect whether you are facing a mental illness or not and who to consult when in need of help. Last but not least, there was also a workshop conducted. We could also make our own stress balls with balloons. I felt that this was a really creative and enjoyable workshop since after all that listening, the hands-on activity was really engaging.

The instructors were patient when teaching us about the work-life balance, as well as how to find out signs of depression and dementia and the ways to deal with them. It was extremely interactive with the variety of methods used to teach us, such as showing some intriguing videos which gave us a deeper understanding of how to maintain a work-life balance, and giving us a quiz to test our understanding of depression and dementia. To top it off, we got to make a custom stress ball, with our creative designs displayed on each of the stress balls.

It has been a great help in teaching us how to maintain a proper work-life balance, such as making a timetable to manage our day, as well as letting us know how to recognise and deal with our and our loved ones' depression and dementia in our daily lives. For example, I realised my sister has depression, and am giving her more support such as spending more time with her and giving her a listening ear when she needs it. Additionally, they had invited a physiotherapist from a nearby hospital to do some check-ups on students and see how their mental well-being is. Some studies also show that 1 in 3 Teenagers are likely to be depressed, or mentally unhealthy, so when they taught us on how to recognise and manage dementia and depression, it had left a huge impact on me as before this session, i would have not thought that our mental well-being was as important as our physical health. They also had us to do an activity where we would design our own stress-ball, letting us express our creativity and helping us to relax. The organisers also set up a mini competition for us, whoever designed the best-looking stress ball would win prizes like candies. I found this activity extremely useful and pleasant; the atmosphere was lively and fun, my classmates and I fully enjoyed the experience and took home the knowledge shared with us and shared them with other people who do not know.

Our class was thrilled when we got to rest and relax at the Stress-Free zone. We were all excited to learn about how to balance the pressures of school and having time to ourselves too. The organisers held the event in a comfortable and air conditioned room, filled with soft pillows and a large sofa. We enjoyed the cozy and peaceful atmosphere while enjoying the talk. It was particularly engaging as the organisers covered topics like how to manage homework loads and ways we can make the best use of our time. Suddenly, the scary looking road of examinations leading up to our national exams didn't seem so scary anymore as we planned out our goals and the small, daily steps we would take to reach them. As someone who has always struggled with not being able to catch a break, this talk helped me in ways that made me finally feel in control of my busy schedule. Not only did we leave the talk well rested and rejuvenated, we also learnt new and important life skills that we were all going to remember and use in the future!

It was an enlightening experience participating in the Stress-free zone event and my classmates had similar sentiments too. We got to understand more about how to manage our studies and play time with the information provided in the event, it was useful as we could envision it applied to our daily schedules and lives. It was incredibly relatable as we found many meaningful ways to cope with our time and not waste it away. There were also certain topics that were addressed which include depression and dementia. This are problems that people face in real life, especially for us students. To have brought up and acknowledged such topics in the event left me and my classmates in awe as they also clarified certain doubts about the issues and even mentioned to us some solutions we could use to help with our stress and depression. We felt that through this event, we had a greater perception as to what students face and we had an inner reflection on the lifestyles we are leading as students. What we truly benefitted from this was the knowledge of how to solve the issues and improve our lives will also thinking of innovative ways to help through the activities arranged in the event segment for instance, we got to create a stress ball to cope with our emotions which we all found quite an ingenious way to solve our issues. Furthermore, what we took away that day was what we could share with our friends and family at home, which would allow more individuals to grow and built better lifestyles for themselves. Stress-free zone was truly a helpful and fun interactive event which will help inspire collective change in terms of people's behaviour and mental health. It structs at the heartstrings of those who join and participate, making the session very engaging. The subtle entertainment that was given in spoonfuls throughout the event helps to engage in participants active learning and critical thinking so that people can easily absorb the knowledge and tips given in the event, which is a very efficient way of learning. My classmates and i did not have difficulty paying attention to the speeches given as it had many conversational "nuggets" which made listening to the talk incredibly easy. Overall, the event was well thought of and brilliantly engaging as we learn more about how to address problems we face in school or daily life as well as leading an enjoyable and meaningful time that our class can treasure as a joyful memory. v

One highlight of the 'Stress-free Zone' was learning how to manage our time better. The presentation taught us how to maintain a balance between school and rest, which many of us didn’t realise we were neglecting. Personally, I often struggle to keep up with homework, and I learnt that taking small breaks and organising my time well can help me avoid burnout. Another important takeaway was learning how to recognise signs of mental struggles like depression and dementia. Before this, many of us didn’t know what these conditions were really like, but now we feel more confident about supporting others and knowing when to ask for help ourselves. Overall, the 'Stress-free Zone' was not just fun but meaningful too.
