There are only natural elements in the picture, yet when we see a bird on the tree we do not mind it, in comparison to the feather which just seems incorrectly placed.

In terms of the material it is the only object that is comprised of a soft part i.e., the bristles of the brush, while the other elements are rigid and inflexible. 
The purpose of the brush is to paint and the cutlery to aid in eating.

It stands out from the rest as we see that the other products are not edible but the sauce is. The viewer immediately gets a feeling of removing the sauce bottle, as it belongs to the kitchen.
For disorganised and messy people this sight would not come as quite the shock, as they are used to being in cluttered environments surrounded by all kinds of stuff that they forget to place where it belongs. On the other hand, people who are sedulous at keeping their immediate environment clean would definitely have a problem with this picture.

Every object in the picture is physically present in it apart from the printed leaf that resembles a practically existing object. 
What is strange is, both the paper and the leaves are the outputs of the same source, i.e., the tree, a living substance. In contrast to the road and the brick wall which is made up of unnatural substances i.e., concrete and cement.

Articles that are placed where they shouldn't be creating a sort of contrast and making the viewer question its relevance.

My flat mate is the biggest fan of Nutella and I wanted to show her commitment to the same as if she were given a choice, she’d rather put Nutella on her finger than Nail paint.

Process:

To take this photo I asked her to sit on the stairs as I wanted no distraction with the background, and dip the paintbrush in the Nutella then apply it on her fingers. There was just one light source and that was the little light that we got through the half open kitchen doors.

I found the lighting and almost a periodic feel to this photograph quite interesting. Also, what is intriguing is how something so common when put in an odd situation seems to make us uncomfortable.

I took this photo intentionally creating an environment that leads us to point out the Queer fish.

I took out my paint tubes and added a Colgate toothpaste amongst them, as the tube of the toothpaste fits right in with the structure of all the other elements yet it makes us fell that itch to separate it from the rest.

What I like about the photograph is that it almost appears as the elements are falling and also the contrast of all the white caps with the red toothpaste cap.

This was deliberately done by the graphic designer to create a sense of tragedy, that is what I understand by the movie, the letter ‘e’ is Marylin among the other letters that is the world. 
Also, the gradient of the colour blue was not planned, it just came out that way in the photograph, which resembles the drama this film entails.

First of all, the potato in the container with it's roots in the tea resembling soil is odd as no one, grows potatoes in a container. Secondly, Timer written on the hob is a pun for the potato growing over time, and the timer on the heating plate itself that indicates the duration for the food to cook.

The shoe stands out with its fluid/ inorganic shape compared to rest of the organic/ geometrical parts surrounding it.
People with Dementia tend to forget where they have placed certain objects and sometimes keep them in unexpected places. Therefore, for us this act could be ridiculous but for someone who has a disease, it could very well be normal.

I read an article on how letters are dealt with (Jolly, 2009). From that I have concluded that many people due to rage or various hardships in relationships and life can burn away letters, that meant something to them at a different moment in time. Letters that hold great national or historic value can be sent to archives and if that is not possible they go up into flames so that they do not fall in the wrong hands.

If the shape is made the centre of attention, it just looks like the bottle is surrounded by other bottles of various substances inside a cupboard or refrigerator.

The bark would decompose faster compared to the bird feather that can take up to years. 
If we make the rectangle our focal point, we could imagine the feather attached to a bird sitting on a tree or coming out of it's nest. If we zoom in the picture in the area where the rectangle is drawn, we could think that the papers or letters are coming out of a  suitcase or bag which is not so weird. Typography changes in the last letter of the image, where we go from a cursive to a chalky font. When the attention is on the area of the shape, the shoe can be imagined to be in rack where it normally belongs. When we look only at the area inside the box drawn, it can feel like the paint brush is kept between palette knifes and other instruments used in painting.

I like how a machine-made thing interacts with naturally occurring leaves, I quite enjoy the compositing as the Vaseline finds itself following the rule of thirds.

this is my friend’s vanity and I decided to put a Heinz bottle in the mix. I wanted to keep the objects of my vanity in their natural position so I did not move anything around but carefully placed a Heinz bottle in the backdrop.

I find the positioning of the objects rather bizarre, but that turns out to be interesting as the viewer has to look for the ketchup as it’s hidden behind other objects.

I found these elements lying on the road, outside a church on my way to college.

I like the fact that the print on the paper is similar to the leaves around it yet the context of both the elements in the world is very different.
