Having students give their definitions for PED (performing enhancing drugs) to the class is an excellent strategy to ensure their understanding of PEDs. It re-enforces comprehension for verbal and auditory learners.

The students have developed a great rapport with each other and trust, so that they share openly and willingly. Bringing the subject material and related it current events and artists is also a great way to get students involved, interested, and invested.

My takeaway will be to try to relate my course materials to topics that the students are interested in, making better analogies for them to become more invested in the subject material.
