Columbia University has received backlash, for its decision not to remove any students involved in the occupation of a campus building. Some view this as the university giving in to student demands. The protest caused disruptions, on campus. Raised concerns. The absence of expulsions despite the seriousness of the incident indicates a hesitation to implement actions. This choice has stirred discussions regarding how the university deals with student protests and upholds order.

Columbia has ‘waved the white flag’ by failing to expel even one student who occupied campus building: House report (msn.com)

Sports are a big part of Colombian culture. The most popular sport in Colombia is soccer (or football, as it's called in many parts of the world). The Colombian national team has had some notable successes on the international stage, including participating in several FIFA World Cups. Another popular sport in Colombia is cycling. The country has produced some world-class cyclists who have competed in and won stages of the Tour de France and other major cycling events. Nairo Quintana and Egan Bernal are two famous Colombian cyclists who have made a name for themselves internationally. Baseball is also quite popular, especially in the coastal regions. Many Colombian players have gone on to play in Major League Baseball in the United States. Additionally, sports like volleyball, basketball, and boxing have a significant following. Boxing, in particular, has a rich history in Colombia, with several world champions coming from the country. Overall, sports play a vital role in Colombian society, bringing people together and fostering national pride.

Colombia has a vibrant and unique culture, especially in its music and dance. Compared to the United States, which has a mix of many cultures, Colombia has a distinct and lively cultural identity. Additionally, Colombia's natural beauty, like its rainforests and coffee plantations, is stunning and offers unique biodiversity. Colombians are incredibly warm and friendly, providing a different social dynamic than in the United States.
