         <description><![CDATA[<div>Approach 1:<br>Yes, he faces further disciplinary action for lying to his principal<br>This may not be a directly fireable offense, but he should face a reprimand or writeup.<br>He does not have grounds to make a grievence with his union. The principal did not violate the terms of the contract<br>No, he can not be written up for refusing to write a statement.<br><br>Approach 2:<br>He will most likely be written up but will not be fired and will have to apologize to the student<br>This approach is more economical and makes more sense<br>No, he should not have offered to resign his position. It was a hasty decision.&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Approach 1:&nbsp; Assuming Mr. Wade is lying, we believe it is a fireable offense, both for the violation and for the attempted cover up.<br>If he is not lying, we don't feel he has grounds to make a formal grievance against his principal for asking for a statement - although, we are not sure if he can be written up for refusing to make a statement (contract?).<br><br>Approach 2:  We would have chosen this approach, but would not offer to resign.</div>]]></description>
