His movies extend beyond the average movies we see today, and in his golden age in the 1980s and 1990s, he really hit his stride and created some of my favorite movies. While I might not be a film expert, I do think that his movies can relate strongly to some literary elements, and I can see the connections between his work and some others. I remember I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark when discussing the heroes unit, and it really opened my perspective on how wide his stories can range. I can also use some of his movies to tell history as well, such as his movie Lincoln. He pays strict attention to details and knows how to draw connections to elements in his stories. It's like reading book but in a very short time. His works have become iconic in recent decades and I definitely see the value his works have put on American cinema.
