And finally the moment came when the hard work of courtship paid off. She gently touched her beak onto my shoulder and I chirruped in complete happiness. My cheeks got feverishly red... well, you humans cannot see it probably because my cheeks always look read to you... but trust me, I got soooo excited. I could not close my eyes--I stared ant her beauty. We did not realize how quickly dawn came. Another morning... another day.

It was an early summer morning. John’s mother was cooking breakfast. John’s father was heading to the kitchen rearranging his tie.
John went out into the sun. It had been his job to fetch the mail every morning since he was a child. His father couldn’t do without a newspaper to read with his morning coffee though the mother often grumbled at him too absorbed in the world news and not noticing what he was eating. John wondered if he would do his ‘job’ for another year – he had finished high school this year and now was waiting for answers from a few colleges throughout the country he had applied to.
‘Where’s John?’ the mother asked. ‘He’s outside. Checking the mailbox’, the father answered looking out of the window, ‘Oh...’
‘What’s that?’ asked the mother turning to look out just in time to see John jumping on his bicycle hastily and setting off somewhere, ‘Where’s he going?..’
John left his bicycle on the driveway and ran to knock on the door. He was holding the morning mail in his hands. However hasty he had been, he managed to stack a few envelopes into a newspaper so that they wouldn’t get crumpled during his fast ride.
‘Good morning, Miss Smith’, he said as his elderly teacher opened the door. ‘Sorry, it’s too early, I know, but... I have some letters here, they are from colleges, and...’
‘Good morning, John’, the teacher smiled at his nervous babble. ‘Can I congratulate you? Or...’
‘I don’t know’, John looked away. ‘I haven’t opened them yet’.
‘I see. Why don’t you come in?’
Five minutes later, Miss Smith was watching John picking up his bicycle in a more haste than when his parents had seen him this morning. But unlike them, she knew where he was going. And as for his feelings, well, every person who had seen him that morning could swear that it was the happiest smile they had ever seen.

film settings sometimes in 1960's in one lovely summer day. A golden sunrise was stunning through the trees and leaves while revealing a slight flare from low angle visions from the camera; then another crane down movement from the camera reveals a group of birds that we're playing at the trees; then the camera slowly cranes down to the grounds reveals the blooming flower fields. then slight panning movement to the left, slowly reveals a little farmhouse with a wooden gate; then, the gate opens; still, the camera focus on lower grounds as the woman's feet wearing white flat shoes finally reveals in the camera. she closed the gate and leave towards the horizon.

the camera is watching the sun lounge: in a side there i s a woman and a man is entering.
She's wearing a blue dress, the skirt is huge and when he gets her in his arms the skirt is following the rhythm of music. He's wearing an uniform. In the sun lounge the sunlight is setting down. There is a round space and round the benches there are plants and flowers. Some windows are opened and birds are singing. The man and his lady are dancing around and they are looking at each other. the camera is following them in the dance. They are falling in love and this dance is a promise of future. But it's late and he must leave. He's nervous , it's a moment, the camera is focusing on his look. His look is changing when he looks her, now he's smiling and he's squeezing her at himself . She's smiling and she's kissing him. He's leaving, the camera is following him quickly from far: it's behind the woman who's watching him closing the door and leaving.

Irrelevant though it may come across, I have been using this website for a while now to exploit short films with my learners. Many videos and lesson plans are for free and this keeps happening every now and then. However, if you want to obtain a full access to resources, you need to subscribe. It's definitely worth a look.

C'est le début du printemps dans les campagnes du sud-est de la France, Mathilde est en train de faire le menage de printemps chez elle : elle fait la poussière, elle ouvre tous les tiroirs pour les ranger et elle examine à nouveau ses affaires. Ah, combien de souvenirs ! Elle vient juste de trouver un album de photos de quand elle était petite... elle regarde les visages de ses parents, désormais plus en vie, et celui de sa petite soeur, avec qui elle ne parlait depuis des années, et qui s'en était allée suite à la mort de leurs parents, et surtout à cause du manque d'empathie de sa soeur.

Dehors de la maison, un vélo s'approche tout lentement. Marguerite descend avec prudence et laisse tomber le vélo dans le pré un peu mouillé. Elle regarde la maison, ses yeux son tristes et son coeur bouge dans sa poitrine comme s'il voulait sortir, elle fait un soupir et elle se dirige à pas lents vers la porte d'entrée. Elle ouvre la porte.

Mathilde se tourne tout d'un coup effrayée par le bruit de la porte. Elle reste immobile. Ses yeux ne peuvent pas se fermer, ses poumons ne peuvent pas faire entrer de l'air dans son corps. Tout est immobile comme dans les photos qu'elle était en train de regarder. Elle n'y pouvait pas y croire. La seule personne qui lui restait au monde, et qu'elle avait abandonnée à cause de son égoïsme, était là, devant ses yeux. A ce moment, c'est sa soeur qui s'approche à elle. Elle regarde ses yeux qui se remplient de larmes et elle lui donne un câlin.
