Internment, by Samira Ahmed, takes place in the near future and tells the story of a young Muslim girl, Layla Amin, and her terrifying reality. Layla has just come back home from her boyfriend's house when the Exclusion Authority guards burst through the door telling Layla and her family they have 10 minutes to pack essential belongings. Then, they explain to the Amin's that they will be relocated. To an internment camp called Mobius. Layla is determined not to get used to anything in Mobius because she is getting out. She meets friends and unexpected allies who are willing to risk their lives to fight for their freedom and the freedom of Muslims around America who are being put in these internment camps.

Animal Farm by George Orwell

Animal Farm tells the story of farm animals rebelling against their owner Mr. Jones and taking control of Manor Farm. The animals having control of the farm rename it, and proceed to thrive and survive without Mr. Jones there to take their resources. As the story progresses, we see how even though they may be free from the humans, they are still not free, being taken advantage of and manipulated by the pigs. While seeming like a mundane story initially, we see how the powerful become corrupted, and take control of others. This is a really interesting story, and with lots of symbolism in the story, it is a good read I recommend to everyone.

Catching Fire By Suzzane Collins

Catching Fire is the second novel in the hunger games trilogy. This story follows Katniss Everdeen as she faces many challenges. Katniss and Peeta were tributes in the previous year's hunger games, in which they both became the winning victors because of some berries and a love story. Once they come back they realize they must continue this so-called fake love story. The one thing they were sure of was their immunity in the next reaping. However this all changes in this year's 75th annual hunger games, and this year it’s special. It’s the Quarter Quell. This book was very good, I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera

They Both Die At The End is a story of two teen boys, 17 and 18, who find out they are going to die that day. This story takes place in a dystopian world where a company called DeathCast knows when everyone is going to die. DeathCast calls the unlucky people to inform them it's the day they are going to die so they know to expect it. The two boys, Mateo and Rufus, start out as total strangers as you’d expect. But as the day progresses, the boys grow closer, and by the end of the day, they’ve fallen in love. But this love is cut short by their inevitable deaths, and as Mateo tried to make some tea for the two of them, his stove exploded. Mateo was killed, and the last we hear from Rufus is him blindly walking into a street. I enjoyed this book because of the constant wondering of how they would die, and how the narration changes between characters. At first I didn't like the ending because it was anticlimactic and never showed how Rufus died, but now that I look back I think the ending was perfect. I'm giving the book a 4.5/5 just because the pacing was slow at times from the constant narration switches and some parts were slightly boring.

The boom also has Greek mythology  light built into the story. And has the gods Ares, aphrodite, Apollo and Hades.

Overall it is a very good story and I would highly recommend it.

The story follows detective Poirot as he tries to uncover the killer of a string of murders. The killer seems to be seeking out it's victims alphabetically. The first victim Mrs. Ascher in Andover, B for Betty Bernard in Bexhill, and C for Sir Carmichael Clark in Churston. The killer seems to be more cocky and reckless with every kill, leaving notes and clues to taunt Poirot. 

The mystery is uncovered nicely and the plot and characters are very well thought out. The only critique is that the ending was more predictable than I would've liked, but overall it was a good book to captivate your attention. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Zeroes by Scott Westerfeld

Ethan isn't your average high school student. Sure he's awkward, and is kind of annoying, but he has a special superpower. Super strength? Maybe super speed or invisibility? No, Ethan just talks a lot. His friends don't exactly have the greatest powers either, being pretty forgettable, but this superhero story isn't about the powers, it's about the people. Ethan is charming in his own strange way, with all the other characters being equally interesting, like the mysterious Thibault, or the morally conflicted Chizara, or someone named Nate. Real interesting. If you like stories with superheroes, but want a fresh take on it, or just a nice redemption arc, I’d recommend Zeroes to anyone.

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Shatter me is the first book in a dystopian series about a 17 year old girl, Julliete Ferrars. She has the ability to kill someone with a single touch and because of this there was an accident. This caused her to be put in mental hospitals and psych wards for years until she was put in a government induced prison which is where the book starts off. She has been locked away for 264 days when she gains a companion, or cellmate, and they begin to become closer even with him knowing of her power or curse as she calls it. I would give this book a 4/5 as it does take a while for it to really get started but once it does it’s really good and captures your attention. I would definitely recommend this book and the rest of the series especially if you like dystopian novels.
