Why is air pollution important?

People all over the world suffer from long term and short term effects of air pollution. Currently, more children are being diagnosed with asthma and are becoming more sensitive to air pollutants. Also, it is affecting the way we live and our quality of life. The more air pollution in the air, the more environment that will be destroyed; and we won't be able to get it back.
Air pollutants are also causing global warming and damage to the stratospheric ozone, which protects us from the harmful UV rays from the sun. It is important for us to find other sources of energy and find ways to limit what we put into the air. Additionally, the EPA is important in creating federal policies for air quality and takes measures to assist the country in finding ways to limit emissions.
