It was 9000 B.C. when copper was discovered. The copper was then added to tin to create Bronze for making weapons because it was stronger than stone. As the Bronze age continued on, more and more metals were being discovered and used for advantaged purposes. Unlike gold and silver which were softer, therefore being used for decoration. There were many societies adding to the bronze age through trade and the expansion of ideas. The bronze age ended around 1200 B.C. when we began to create iron.

The main Ideas of all articles revolved around metallurgy. They all started with talking about primitive metals. These metals started to change human society and develop technology. People then started to develop more metals as time went on causing certain periods in time being named after the most prominent metals. The evolution of metals started with Gold and silver being used as trading and decoration metals. Lead being used to make pipes for transporting liquid and copper being used for its adaptability. These metals became over shadowed by bronze and iron for there durability and usefulness. All articles end with the central message of how much metals have effected human civilization.
https://www.bing.com/th?id=OIP.mwk_7xNeBLTK8RbshHhdpwHaFj&w=283&h=212&c=7&o=5&dpr=1.25&pid=1.7
Copper
https://www.bing.com/th?id=OIP.ASmd5RyQ7eVndnR3fwXhrgHaFj&w=256&h=192&c=7&o=5&dpr=1.25&pid=1.7
Bronze
https://www.bing.com/th?id=OIP.kbNc53iiVtv55GMPNHyd7AHaJ4&w=134&h=174&c=7&o=5&dpr=1.25&pid=1.7
Lead pipe
http://www.aucmcoins.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Background-cropped.jpg
Metal coins
I thought it was weird that they used lead to transport liquid because now we know lead in water is a health risk.
"Alex contributed nothing to the group"

Copper was first discovered in 9000 BC which then sparked interest on what it could be used for. This discovery also lead to the fascination in which many more metals were discovered. The Bronze Age lasted from 3300 to 1200 BC. In this time they discovered that Bronze was stronger than copper because bronze was made of copper and tin. Later on gold, lead, and iron were discovered and their most prominent uses were for tools and weapons.

The most recent metal found helped America walk on the moon, (the paper cuts off before saying the name). Thanks to matel we have our most used iteams: light bulbs, cas, computers and more. The trnasistion from copper to bronze was around 3300 B.C. The result of the bronze age was the rise of states and kingdoms.

Bronze age began around 3000 B.C. for the Sumerians, and later, like 1900 BC, for eastern Asia. Metals were first discovered in 5000 BC, it was gold, silver, and copper that were first discovered. When man discovered that metals can be used to create tools, metallurgy was created. earlier metals such as copper silver and gold were primarily used for weapons and tools but as technology evolved and more metals were being discovered the use for them was becoming more and more convenient.

2. From the three articles, we found that the Bronze Age marks the first time in history that humans started to work with metal. Ancient Sumerians and the Middle East may have been the first people to enter the Bronze Age. Copper was the first metal that people started to use in everyday life, and this started as early as 6,000 B.C. Metals have helped shaped todays society, and we now use them in everyday life. There are six major metals, and each have different and unique purposes. Gold and silver are used for decoration and trade, copper is used for tools, bronze which is stronger than copper and can be hold a specific shape, and last is lead which is used to make into vessels to hold things. The History of Metals article talks about how todays society strongly depends on the discovery and development of metals because they play such an essential role. It also goes into detail about the different types of metals, what they're used for, and when they were discovered.

4. The three articles discussed each metal such as Iron, Mercury, Copper, Lead, and many more. It also discussed the important key periods in which these metals were discovered. Some of the key periods were gold in 6000 BC, Silver in 4000 BC, and Aluminum in 1827. Lastly it told us a small fact about in metal in their specific time period; (what it was made of or its main uses).
