About Lim festival.
Time :
- Held on the 12th and 13th day of the first lunar month
Taking place :
- Lim Festival is celebrated in Lim Village, which is located within the Tien Du District, Bac Ninh Province. Located 18km from Hanoi, You can easily make your way to this traditional village by bus or rental car.
Activities :

- Lim Festival is where you can enjoy UNESCO-listed quan ho folk singing performances and a wide range of traditional games during your visit. Several stages are built within the village where you get to see locals performing in traditional costumes. We highly recommend heading over to the lake outside the Lim Communal House to catch quan ho singing performance on a dragon boat. Lim Festival also hosts folk games such as danh du (bamboo swings), cockfighting, tug- of-war, wrestling, human chess, and blind man's bluff.

.Tet Festival : some people can call it Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year but in Vietnam, we call it Tet.
.Tet is the equivalent of Chirstmas and New Year’s Eve, we welcome a new start, a better new year and say farewell to the previous year after the harsh and cold weather.
.It is also great occasion to rejoice special moments and emotions in our lives with our loved one
- clean and decorate our house
- cook long-standing tradition foods with my parents such as Banh Chung or Square Sticky rice cake in English, spring rolls and Vietnamese Sausages.
.There are bunch of things Vietnamese people can also do on Tet.
- giving people lucky money by slip the money into a nice red envelope to give them in polite way to my relevants and friends.
- go to the pagodas to pray for blessing and collect fortune.
. I believe that the Tet festivals is the great time that give us a distraction from our day to day and have some fun with all the relatives which is great mental relaxation and enrich family relations.

- Christmas
- The festival lasts for 2 days, and it falls on the 24th of December.
- Christmas is a celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth.
-There are some common things that people do during this occasion but I think the most popular activity is that people decorate their houses with different decorations such as Christmas Tree, Fairy Lights, Snowman and Wreaths.
- exciting and colorful tinsels and cheerful melodies of Christmas songs.
- Another popular activity is that Vietnamese people are keen on gathering for sharing big meals with their families and exchanging gifts.
-

The reason why I am a big fan of Christmas is a great atmosphere. I really enjoy the sense of anticipation and excitement during the festival and I also think it is a great time to nurture our souls and strengthen our relationships with our loved ones.
