I think there is a lot to the interactions between the gods and humans and in the book it says that the gods and humans need each other. The gods need the humans sacrifice and devotion and the humans needs protection, fortune and skills from particular gods. 

I find it interesting how many gods have attachments to specific areas, cities or towns. The Greeks were devoted to certain gods depending on what skills they needed to thrive and what skills the certain god offered. My main takeaway from our guest speaker is that quick action in the way we can develop our thoughts through articles, books, peer review journals, etc the better. For me, one of the most complex was evaluating the sources we use. There are a lot of small and large details that go into research that sometimes we are not aware of or think "it does not matter as much". I learned a lot from these tutorials, not only because I got to have some practice on how to implement best practices but also to apply this to other aspects other than writing scholarly papers. Overall, these tutorials are essential for a college student.
