The Man who Walked Between the Towers by Mordicai Gerstein, is about a man named Philippe Petit who is a motivated street performer that likes to entertain people. During the story, he wanted to walk on a wire between the twin towers over New York City but, he did not think the police officers and owners of the towers would let him because in Paris, they did not let him. So, Philippe and his friend dressed up as construction workers and made their way to the top of the towers to set up the line. Then, they set up the line, and Felipe got his 28 ft balancing pole and he walked and danced on the line and entertained the city. The police, threatened to arrest him but he walked the other way and continued. Finally, He was arrested and sent to court, the judge sentenced him to entertain the children in the park which made him so happy and he left his mark on the world. We can learn that there is always a way to leave your mark on the world and to show off your talents and do what makes you happy.
