In 2008, a paper entitled ‘Optical Networking: Past, Present, and Future’, written by Joseph Berthold, et.al was published in the Journal of Lightwave Technology. The authors discussed the optical networks evolution and speculated on how capacity might evolve in the future, to handle the undoubtedly new services that were on the horizon during that time. Based on the paper and your additional references, how true are the speculations? Discuss and analyse the optical fiber network evolution for the past 10 years to support your arguments. You may narrow your scope into specific area of interest for your case study.
 
The case study should be presented in a report, containing a macro view (mind map) on how the study is carried out. Then it should be followed by relevant discussion and evaluation on the scope of study. The report should follow the following formats:
-          Arial font (size 11)
-          1.5 line spacing
-          No 10 pages 
-          Contains reliable references and cited in the contents
 
Please submit the report no later than 1st May 2019
