By doing so, students can compare their thoughts and ideas with their classmates and see if they are on the right track with their language/vocabulary structure choices. <br>- Have students translate some English words into their native language to help them grasp a better understanding of that given word.<br>- Have students repeat sentences<br>- Have students write out their answers, thoughts, ideas, findings, etc. onto paper. This helps build their sentence structure fluency <br>- Have students present their assignments to the class to have the class identify and give constructive criticism in areas that need it</div>]]></description>

In middle and high school, students take an ESL class in place of an elective. All teaching is done in English. Students sometimes feel singled out and awkward when pulled out of regular classes to go to their ESL class.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- ESL Pull-out Model: Students are placed in regular classroom settings but are pulled out for a portion of each day to receive instruction in ESL.<br>- ESL Class Period: Students receive ESL during a regular class period <br>- ESL Resource Center: Similar to the pull-out model, students are combined together from several different classrooms/schools to a central location to focus on ESL materials. <br>- ESL Self-Contained: Students spend a large portion of their day with an ESL teacher. <br>- ESL Team Teaching: When one or more certified teachers teach each other assigned different content areas<br>- Structured English Immersion: Classrooms containing only English learners, class is taught in English with a few clarification using a students native language when needed (by ESL certified teachers).</div>]]></description>
