He lived in Belgium for most of his life then he moved to France then to Brussels again. Magritte used a highly illusionist painting technique to make the viewer think. The reason he draws with things covering their face because of when his mother supposedly committed suicide in a lake she came out of the water with her dress covering her face. I like this picture because it has so much colour and looks quite real.It also has his technique of showing his strokes and his texture.

Leonardo Da Vinci used many techniques to paint his work but one of his  more obvious techniques is space .He uses space in almost all of his paintings this can be seen by the back round in some of his more famous paintings .Leonardo's style is to paint portraits and things exactly the way they were which he was very good at .Sometimes he painted because he wanted to show how they feel sometimes because he was payed to do it but he always put alot of effort in to his art .I like Leonardo  Da Vinci because he shows things with alot of feeling and meaning which makes my wonder what he was thinking when he made it .b

Do I like this picture: I like this picture because I think it shows a sense of calm and disturbance at the same time.

Personal response: Do you like it? Why?: I like it because the colours fade into black. I like how it looks like an actual tunnel. I also like it because colours are warm.
