E-commerce is the exchange of goods or services via internet using different tech. devices such as a phone or computer. B2B, B2C, B2G, C2C - e mobile phone. This doesn't involve physical integration.

I work for Pizza still and they utilize e-commerce for consumers to order Online using their phone or other internet access portals.

The reason why this is part of the Business is because its is become a major trend in business and companies that are not adjusting  to this business tread have started to fail.
