We are using technology to research nonfiction topics in the classroom. My students love using the Scholastic Weekly Reader online resources. Research is done by listening to the online reader. They can click on icons to watch informational videos to learn more. Their learning is reinforced by playing a game at the end. I also enjoyed seeing ideas from other educators. This made me realize that twitter would be an easy way to share updates from my classroom! One teacher posted stories that her kindergarten students were recording.
