I learned important connections about the story from my peers. There were some parts of the story I did not understand when I read it on my own. After talking to my peers in our literature circle I was able to understand the story better. I feel that I was able to help make some important connections during discussion about the story. I think that next time I could contribute a few more points to the discussion.

1. My group members had many interesting points. We discussed who Jane was and brainstormed about her mental illness. One group memeber described the short story as making her feel "trapped."
2. I was the online researcher. I researched more about the authors life and her background.
3. I could be more prepared and read the short story more thoroughly.

1. I learned more about the mental state of the main character and gained different perspectives from my peers about her. They brought up points such as the woman taking on the persona of the woman in the wallpaper at the end. I also learned more about the setting as they picked up on things I had not noticed in the story, such as the bars on the windows being like that of a crib.
2. I did well discussing how this story connects to real world scenarios and how this situation would differ in the present day.
3. I could reread the story next time so I am more familiar with it and can better participate in my class discussion.
