I am wondering how Daisy truly feels at the end of the chapter. Everything is out in the open now, and she essentially has to pick between Tom and Gastby. However, Myrtle has been killed and the characters are now facing a tragedy. How will Myrtle's death affect Daisy and Gatsby's relationship? Who was really driving? Is Tom truly to blame for all of this?

Some valuable life lessons I took from this chapter is, You should never drink and drive for nothing good comes out of it. In this case it results in the death of Myrtle Wilson after Daisy Buchanan was drinking at a hotel in new york and drives Gatsbys car back to east egg. Another lesson learned here is no matter how much you love someone there is never a guarantee of trust. What I mean by this is even though Gatsby loves Daisy, Daisy doesnt tell Wilson it was her when he came to her house and then she doesnt show up to the funeral for Gatsby after he was murdered by Wilson.

I learned that you should always look where your going when you cross the street. Mrytle did not look and therefore was killed by a car. You should also never drink and drive because it can be dangerous.

Reading this section made me feel very nervous for what could come next. With everything that's been happening, it seems that something is going to boil over soon. I feel as though something big is going to happen soon and it's going to make a lasting impact on how Nick views Gatsby.

I feel like how Daisy is stuck between both guys and how she runs back to Tom who is like her support system. Also how gatsby was willing to take the blame for her mistakes. All of that made me feel like understand why Daisy went with tom and it was sweet how gatsby cares for her.

What is the point of this entire story? It's Nick who brings up that Tom and Daisy are just people who live carelessly with their wealth, which is very similar to how Nick was disgusted by them at the beginning of the story. Does this mean that Daisy, Tom, possibly more characters or practically everyone, never went through any character development? As in, nothing changes, and time just moves on?

You can tell in this chapter Nick is clearly upset about the events that transpired on his birthday. Watching a conflict of love go down is definitely annoying and can ruin one's day. I hear stories all the time of this one case of two lovers who can't be split despite the abuse from one person, which reminds me a lot about Daisy and Tom's situation. Much the same, one party seems to have strong interest in another as opposed to their actual partner.

I am wondering what Gatsby is feeling while he is outside of Daisy's house knowing that she is being comforted by Tom. This could probably lead to Gatsby's plan being back fired. Also, Gatsby will take the blame for Daisy killing Myrtle and could lead to bigger problems in their situation. How could Gatsby taking the blame affect him in the story?

I had questions through out that onces I thought about it I had the answer. Like why did they think Mrytle ran out like she though she knew Gastby. It was because hs ethought it was Tom. One qestion I still have is whay did Gastby actlly do for a living,? Also where are Tom and Daisy and did Daisy tell Tom it was her?

(not to be too deep but) Reading this chapter made me feel sorry for Gatsby because I know what it's like to long for someone even after they chose someone else. His desire to still protect and care for her truly resembles the characteristics of a hopeless romantic.

A lesson I learned from chapter 7 is to not be so obsessed with a girl that you take the blame for what she did. Personally if I were in Gatsby's situation I wouldn't hesitate to snitch on Daisy. If I could tell that someone was upset or just wasn't in a good state to be driving, I just wouldn't let them. In conclusion, Gatsby ends up getting killed for being down bad.

Maybe Gatsby is really dreaming and delusional because even all that he does for daisy she still went home with Gatsby so does she really love him or does she like sleeping with him.I also think that tom is going to kill Gatsby for all the hurt hes caused to his family

There is an obvious motif repeated throughout the story of Gatsby wanting to relive his past even though it is an unrealistic dream. The theme is mentioned many times by Nick and Gatsby who rival in opinions of the theme.

From this chapter, I learned that sometimes you should let certain things be and that you should always pay attention to what happens. Like with Gatsby, Daisy, and Tom all arguing, I felt like it should've all depended on what Daisy wanted. She had picked to marry Tom.

In this chapter a lot happens and is going on with Tom finding out about Daisy and Gatsby, also the accident where Daisy ran over and killed Myrtle because she was upset about Tom knowing that she is gonna stay with Tom and can't leave him for Gatsby even though she does like Gatsby but Gatsby is very in love with daisy and seems more into the affair/ relationship than Daisy. This also brings me to the point of view of how in love Gatsby is with Daisy because he takes the blame for Daisy. Tom also puts the blame on Gatsby and tells Myrtle's husband that it was Gatsby driving not knowing it was really his own wife.

I learned that not everyone is who they say they are and it can be tricky to judge a person's character. Daisy and Tom were both cheating on each other and had no clue. Betrayal is easy when it's a secret, after Tom figures out Daisy and Gatsby are having an affair chaos unfolds throughout the rest of their day. I also learned you should always trust your instincts because I'm sure Gatsby knew deep down Daisy should not have drove that night but he let her anyway and we saw what transpired after that.

With Myrtle being dead you could blame a lot of people for her death. For example, George holding her hostage, Myrtle being the one that ran into the street thinking it was Tom driving the car, Tom for driving the car early and stopping by for gas, Daisy for driving the car that hit Myrtle, Gatsby for allowing Daisy to drive the car. Tom (Myrtle's affair) or George (Myrtle's husband) might go looking for revenge on the person who killed Myrtle.

Ive learned that no matter where you need to go or to do that you should never drink and drive. Daisy drinking and driving resulted into Myrtles death. I learned you should also always pay attention to your surroundings. If Myrtle looked at her surroundings, she could have also avoided getting killed.

At first, I thought Gatsby was just delusional and a little creepy for moving into a house that is behind Daisy. Although I still think that Gatsby is still just slightly delusional and a little creepy, I gained a new perspective of him just caring a lot for Daisy. I personally think it is weird to not get over a childhood crush/love once into adulthood, but every person is different and I can sympathize with Gatsby.
