Also, when Darry becomes the father figure after their parents died.  Next, The Outsiders show that no matter how much money or how they look on the outside people should all be treated the same. The creator of the book tells the readers that riches and looks should not be a factors that determine whether someone should be treated differently from others. Lastly, the book proves that bravery and courage can appear in even the most coy of people. Next the author confirms unexpected heroism when she writes about Johnny, the shy pet of the gang, stepping up to save children from a burning church with Pony boy by his side. Johnny protects Ponyboy when they  get caught by the Soc’s and Johnny helps them escape. Bob took ponyboy and started drowning him but Johnny stopped him, even though he killed him. Even though he would get in trouble he protected Pony when he was getting hurt. Johnny keeps Pony out of trouble when he took Pony and they ran away so they both would not get in big trouble. He and Pony ran away out in the country where they wouldn't be found.  And if it wasn't for Johnny then they would have been caught and in a lot of trouble. Johnny rescues the children when the church that they were staying at caught on fire and there were children stuck in there. Johnny and Ponyboy went in and saved them or else they would would have died.  Without Johnny’s selflessness the children would have been in big trouble. Johnny helped those kids and put those kids before him. One reason Johnny should be chosen for the MLL, is how that he was he was always there for his friends. In this paragraph we talked about how Johnny protected Pony from the Socs when they wear gonna hurt him, how that he kept Pony outta trouble and away from the cops so he wouldn't get in trouble and lastly when he helped those kids in the burning church.  I believe that Johnny should be chosen is because without him this story would never have developed and never gotten worse than better. He changed everyone in this story for better or worse he changed people and that's would deserves to win. First of, Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones can beat up attackers. She can stand up for herself when in trouble. And then, Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones is trusting to the kid. At last, Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones is sort of nice. She takes the kid in and changes his mind about stelling. Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones is the best FLL character because she changes the boy that tries to steal from her. Also she is big and tough compared to the Woman characters.

Their relationship grew into a father and son like relationship.  The community is different from ours. There community is the definition of perfect. Although they have no feelings and no emotions. As the story progresses characters in the book realize this. Clearly the best novel is The Giver. Having individualities and being a unique person is something we all desire, relationships in the novel grew into relationships everyone needs, and their community is different from ours. These are all very important parts in The Giver and the three main reasons why the Giver is the best novel. Although there are other nominees The Giver is the best choice because the reader learns many life lessons everyone needs to take with the after reading.

This supports my evidence that he is a great guy from his death to his actions he was a true friend.

Dallas Winston is mostly an outlaw he’s always doing things the eleagal way from sneaking into a drive in theater and trying to shoot a cashier and dies trying all cause he cared for johnny and just he couldn't stand to live without johnny and he just wanted to see johnny for the last time.    

 This just shows how much he truly cares for johnny just to go to him.
 
The final reason that Dallas is the true winner is that he changed throw the story, he was never a flat character, he changed. It started just as he picked up Ponyboy and Johnny and Johnny saved the kids from the fire and as the story changed so did he even if in the end he was still an outlaw he had always cared for Ponyboy and Johnny.

the evidence supports my claim because it shows how much Dallas really cares for the group.  

The conclusion to all of this is that he really is an all out true friend he changed throughout the story killing himself over johnny's death finding out were Ponyboy and  Johnny were, wanting to fight with the gang, lying to the cops that he was in a bike incident and getting him to a hospital he truly deserves the award

It shows that friendship comes first and that you should always stay loyal and a good friend. It also shows you that Johnny and Dally aren’t just some greasers that should die but they are actually people that have a life. This novel proves a very good life lesson. I proves that people aren’t bad just because they are perceived as a bad person. Like for instance when Johnny kill Bob the social, it starts some strong controversy because he was still a person and it didn’t really matter if he was social. Johnny felt bad and some of Bob’s friends were really hurt and said he was the best buddy a guy could have. While there are other nominees in this category, The Outsiders should win because it shows you how just because you are perceived as something doesn’t mean that you are that way and that you should stay loyal and a good friend.
