1. I spy. Choose an object for example an apple. Say ‘I spy something beginning with ‘A’. Your child then has to guess the word. 
2. Or ‘I spy something green’. Your child then names green objects. 
3. Word chain. Start new words beginning with the last letter of the previous word. Eg. Apple-egg-green. 
4. 20 questions. Think of an animal/food/general object. Your child must ask questions to discover the object. You can only answer with yes or no. 
5.  Describe an animal or food, step by step. It is big, it is grey, it has big ears… 
6. Word association. Apple, pie, desert.
