Previewing
Previewing key parts of a text before you read makes it easier for you to understand its main ideas. Look at the pictures, read the title, introduction, and any headings in the test , and skim over the passage .
Then think about the topic and what you already know about it. When you have a sense of what the text is about before you read, you should be able to understand and remember better.
