         <description><![CDATA[<div>There is also a film adaptation, but the novel deals heavily with the historical aspects of the AIDs epidemic.&nbsp; Sixsmith is a reporter who helped Philomena try and find her son who was taken from her when she gave birth to him in an Irish convent.&nbsp; They learn that he died of AIDs and Sixsmith outlines the lack of assistance the Reagan administration gave to support the thousands of American citizens dying  of AIDs during his administration.</div>]]></description>
