I got to meet and take photos with some prominent journalists. Just being in the same room as them was inspiring. It also felt surreal because I grew up watching some of the journalists who were there. Especially when I got to talk and shake hands with Marc Brown from abc7. It gave me motivation for the future. The location was absolutely stunning as well. I took lots of photos lol.                                      Summary
The article "Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to journalists Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov," talks about journalists Maria Ressa of the Philippines and Dmitry Muratov of Russia being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. They were awarded a Nobel due to their "efforts to safeguard freedom of expression" during a time where journalists are being attacked, harassed and even murdered for doing their job. Ressa is the first woman to be awarded a Nobel this year and the first Filipino to win the peace prize. Muratov co-founded Novaya Gazeta in 1993, a reliable and independent Russian newspaper. 

Reading this article was very inspiring. I admire their dedication to holding politicians in power accountable. The work of a journalist can be very dangerous so it is nice that their work is being acknowledged. Having two journalists win a Nobel Peace Prize this year is surprising. Startling Statement -  Lead starts with a startling/shocking statement (aka as a "zinger") to hook the reader in.

After reading all three of this stories, I notice some similarities and differences between them. Each provided the 5 W's and H. CNN weighed more of the pros and cons about kids getting the vaccine.
