Her accent did not sound like African American's. So then he become the lighest child (Malcolm X. 80). This relationship had become the reason why his father was belligerent towards all of his childern except for him. Beacause he was visibly nearer to white, was therefore 'better'(Malcolm X, 83).But his mother did differently，his mother whipped him and used words to insult him for his light skin colour. Therefore the relationship between Malcom X and his mother causes a bias impact on him, and also it causes him to hate every drop of that white rapist's blood that is in him.(Malcolm X,81)

In the start of the book, it says 'when my mother is pregnant with me' (Malcolm X 79)it gives us a brief imformation about the time period--the childhood of Malcom X. Through the story the time have slightly changed from being the smallest child by then having two smaller siblings. The hard times in Malcom X’s childhood also signifies the growth of Malcom X day by day.

(Malcolm X. 93) ,telling us about how unfortunate the Little family were during that period, when even feeding them selves will be a problem. He tells us about how they dealt with the pain of starving for a long period of time, which is also an important characteristic of a memoir.

To be more specific the first vivid memory that Malcolm X was” I remember being suddenly snatched awake into a frightening confusion of pistol shots and shouting a smoke and flames. My father had shouted and shot at the two white man who had set the fire and were running away. Our home was burning down around us. We were lunging and bumping in tumbling all over each other trying to escape, my mother, with the baby in her arms, just made it into the yard before the house crashed in, showering  sparks. I remember we were outside in the night in our underwear,  crying and yelling our heads off.”(Malcolm X 81) In this short text of the process of his family being waked by the fire, shooting the white man, escaping, tumbling, yelling our heads off and finally watch their house burnt down，was portrayed exquisitely. There are literary device used as hyperbole when it says “showering” sparks, although the fire could be large but not enough to create a shower, in order to magnify the scale of the problem he used exaggeration. In addition the also not lacking the use of idioms. He wrote
“ crying and yelling our heads of”, by yelling it’s far not realistic to make your heads go off, the author is using a figurative language, something that doesn’t stand for what it looks like, usually also to make exaggeration. For example, him being the whitest child out of all his siblings (Malcolm X. 80), as it was pointed out that his father was ‘subconsciously so afflicted with the white mans brainwashing that he inclined to favor the light ones,’ (Malcolm X. 82-83), therefore making him think he was better than the others later in life. Another example was his father’s death, which made him dislike the ‘white men’ more and understand at such a young age (six years old to be exact), that families like his were all getting similar treatment from the same group of people who murdered his father. 

Events: The story stared in the time when Malclom X started to remenber things. Malclom X has a vivid memory of their house being brunt down, and then the story moves on, he was been treated better because he is the lighest child in the family. After that his father take him to the meeting, although his father treat him well, most of the whipping came from his mother. After that, his father passed away because of the black legion. Since the family's house holder was gone, they faced poverty. Mother stuggles on pschological problems, and was said to be not taking responsibility over her childerns. The family was apart because chinlderns was adopted in different families.  All of the memories  had a really big impact on Malclom X because the origin of all the sad stories is racism. Everytime the violence of racism cause pain in side. Due to  racism, discrimination and segregation, he had hostile attitude towards American society.  His mother was sent to a mental hospital, “And knowing that my mother in there was a statistic that didn’t have to be, that existed because of a society’s failure, hypocrisy, greed, and lack of mercy and compassion.”(Malcolm X 102) shows that he had a hostile attitude towards American society due to the racism he endured.

This is seen when Malcolm X’s father dies and yet the company who issued the bigger policy was balking paying for the funeral and other expenses as they claimed that he ‘committed suicide’ (Malcolm X. 90). It is told that his family and him were feeling very upset, and when visitors came around yet again, there was bitter talk about the white people, as it was unlikely, pretty much impossible, that his father bashes himself in the head then lays on the road, waiting for someone to run him over (Malcolm X 90).
