Show them how to manage their learning as certain things come up (so that its real and relative). Don't just give them the answer or be too quick to come to their rescue. Give them guidance and support but let them figure it out. 

Then provide the space for them to reflect on what they did that made  it (whatever they were trying to do) eventually successful, and even thinking about what they were doing that was not working for them.
