Hi! I am an elementary curriculum coordinator to a district that has had TRS in the past, but not always utilized it. I am excited that the teachers I am working with are excited about going back to using it for our YAG and TEKS specificity for science.

It is hard to train everyone with all other PD needs/requirements in a large district. So, I am just focusing on science.

TEKS RS has been used in our district to help curriculum leaders mentor teachers regarding organization of nine weeks TEKS goals. We also have used the TEKS RS to aid novice teachers in deep dives when trying to access why scholars may not have been successful with a particular readiness TEK.

Navigation and Planning

Teachers are finding it hard to navigate and we don't have anyone yet on board with using the system as a full planner so it's difficult for admin to see where teachers are in the units.

It can be difficult to get campus administrators to take the time to encourage teachers to use the new platform. But, teachers who use it, love it. Word of mouth is positive.

I have linked TR IFDs to all lessons on the teacher's pacing calendars. They open them up during planning and make sure they are planning lessons that meet the requirements

Planning

Working with teams on their planning days. It provides for teachers to really dig in with the major components to support their depth of understanding what they need to teach.

The IFDs are incredibly helpful to undertand a unit as a whole. TheTeks Clarification also gives good examples!

TCMPC is an expectation of our PLC's. Getting the PLC's to smoothly use TCMPC is still a work in progress for many of our PLC's. Getting them to use TExGUIDE along with TCMPC is my biggest challenge right now.
