Appearance: The Coppersmith Barbet is a small bird with streaked underparts and a patterned face. The bird sports red patches on its forehead and upper chest. Males and females of this species look alike but the females are seen to be a bit more yellow and overall a narrower red patch on its upper chest, while juveniles are seen lacking any red whatsoever.

Appearance: The Yellow-vented Bulbul is a small bird with a white underside and face, and a brown coat and tail feathers. It has a black line between the bill and eyes and its most prominent feature is its bright yellow vent. There are no prominent defining visual features between males and females of this species. The juveniles of this species are fatter and rounder and their tails are shorter.

Females of this species are less colourful with olive upper-parts, brown wings, and less vibrant yellow under-parts. Appearance: The Changeable Hawk-eagle is a larger than average bird that show a wide range of variation in plumage from pale to dark, varying with moult and age. Females are larger than males with an average overall size difference of 7% but this can individually range to an 18-22% difference. Because the colours and features of this species vary over time, it is hard to differentiate male and females. Juveniles of this species are much paler, with less varied white underparts and less striping on the body.

Appearance: A Chestnut Munia is a smaller sized bird with a black head, brown underparts and a bluish white beak. It averages from 11-12. Males and females of this species look alike, but only the male sings. Juveniles are entirely light brown.

Juvenile and non breeding adults look similar to each other, having a light brown upper back, white underparts, and a striped head. Their sport the same noticeable beak.

Appearance: The Collared Kingfisher is a small bird that has a blue back and blue head, with a white nape and white abdomen. There is also line across its collar that is a darker shade of blue, running from eye to eye. This bird has a long, black beak. Males of this species tend to have a slightly more blue tinge, while females tend to have a slightly more green tinge. Juvenile birds are duller with a larger black collar band and tiny black dots across their breast.

Species: Tachybaptus ruficollis

Appearance: Little Grebes are smallish medium sized birds During brown feathers, with a slightly lighter tone on the neck, all around its body. This bird has a white cheek and a black bill. It also has yellow eyes. Males and females of this species look similar but females are slightly duller and smaller. In non-breeding these birds are paler with grey-brown upperparts. Their necks turn yellowy-brown, and the chin and the throat are white. Their cheek patch also turns pale green. Juveniles of this species have greyish plumage, with dark greyish feathers near the head and shoulders. These feathers slowly turn browner and browner until they are in breeding.

The Milky Stork is labelled as an Endangered species on the IUCN red list.

Species: Mycteria cinerea

Appearance: The Milky Stork is a relatively large bird with milky white plumage and black lined wings. It sports a long, curved beak that is relatively thick. They have a bald face around their eyes and from their forehead to their chin. They have pink legs, with similar legs like a flamingo - their backwards knees being their ankles. Males and females of this species look similar, with males being slightly larger and having a slightly thinner beak. Juveniles of this species look like their adult counterparts, except their milky white exterior feathers are replaced with a more greyish-brown colour. This bird is often confused with the Painted Stork, but they are both different because Painted Storks have a black patch that is dotted with white lines on their wings. Juvenile Milky Storks and juvenile Painted Storks are almost indistinguishable from each other, except for their lined underwing, which is completely black in Painted Stork juveniles, and paler in Milky Stork juvenile. There have been cases where Milky Storks and Painted Storks have crossbred and have produced hybrids. Some hybrids had very different plumage from other hybrids because of different strengths of the phenotypes.

Appearance: The Olive-backed Sunbird has a yellow underside with an olive upper-side. It also has a long, bent beak made specifically to extract nectar from the base of blooms such as: Callistemon, Erythrina, Russelia, hibiscus and canna. The males of this species have a blue neck, while females have a yellow neck.
