Our school district has invested in several VR kits that you can check out through the district office. I have only used the kits once to take my students to visit the Mayan temple of Chichen Itza. It was a rewarding experience; the View-Master pre-formatted lesson helped me guide students to different elements of the structure. I was also able to create a short quiz for the students to complete after the virtual field trip to check for retention of pertinent information. The students loved the experience and for the most part, they did well on the short quiz. I look forward to learning how to incorporate more VR lessons into my plans for next year.
